Remarks
NMIMS is one of the top B-Schools in India and the placement record is really good and commendable which is what drove me the most. Also, I have seniors who always use to advise me to choose NMIMS and now they are placed in big reputed companies like big four and Morgan Stanley. I heard the college was particular about exams, assignments, and attendance which I think is needed because I need that much discipline in my college so it did fit me.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course B.com Hons is a holistic course where we are being promised to learn every aspect of finance and Entrepreneurship which they are keeping up with. We had literature in our first semester where we were taught from novels of famous authors like Charles Dickens. we have guest lectures for us to have industrial exposure and get a practical insight into the field.
Placement Experience
The placement cell concentrates on the field like HR, marketing, finance for us UG students and according to it the companies visit last year companies like Infosys, JP Morgan visited and offered the students a 2 year contract of average annual salary of around 5-6 Lakhs. The placement cell every year tries to invite different companies which includes startups too.
College Events
All the year the college tries to engage us students to do some extra curricular activities other than studies so the events happen like 3 days of AURA where UG students conduct events and the most happening days of our college lives. Then there is Nityaksh which is arranged by PGDM students, then we have sports week arranged by the sports club FATEH where the whole week we have sports competition going on.
Campus Life
The campus is has classrooms with U shaped seating increases with level of steps so that everyone can see the board clearly it is also air conditioned with wi-fi and charging points for us to charge our laptops. The library is fully resourced and have learning area where students sit and study. Someone the classrooms are specially made for group discussion activity and we have seminar hall for guest lectures and orientation.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is in collaboration with the college so it is CO-ED with two separate wings for boys and girls and each wing has lift for the students, we have common mess. The rooms are available as 3 sharing, 2 sharing, single sharing with one cupboard and study table and attached bathroom and housekeeping which cleans the room after every alternate days.
