Cool College But with strict rules.

College is cool but very strict regarding its rules. They do not tolerate attendance shortageand many things but if you are focussed on studies and need some extra curricular activities, it is a good college for you.

I took Karnataka CET and got 8000 rank. Then through a couselling process I opted for Sapthagiri College of Engineering. I had many options but since placement wise it is a good college so I opted for this.

The best part of this college is faculty. It is a very dedicated faculty but extremely strict, Mind you. Anyways if you are good at studies and interested in a good career opt for this college, you will have to follow strict rules, but you will get all the support needed for your studies. Even they are ready to attend extra classes or what not not, to make sure students are cleared with doubts.

I do not belive that in engineering department there was a stipend facility, but in the Sapthagiri medical college there was a intership facility. Medical college is just next to Engineering department. The stipend is not very heavy but you will get good support and facility to work on your assessments.

The another good part is the placements. They have many companies coming, but they allow only students with minimum 65% aggregate to attend interviews and for some companies it can even go till 75% minimum. But obviously those companies provide good package. So placement wise i would say it's a good college.

Every year they have freshers party which they celebrate very grandly. With that they also have Sapthagiri mahotsav, which occurs around october every year, that is also a very grand event. They bring chief guests of the status of ministers. With that they keep having many workshops for the students as well.

Fee structure is feasible if you are enter the college from K-CET. but if you enter the college from COMED or management quota, its pretty expensive.

They do provide scholarships to meritorius students. About the loans, not very sure. May be they would help you to get it from a bank, but you can check that with the college.

Campus life again is very stirct but they do arrange many workshops. They do have sports days. They have big air conditioned labs, which are pretty well equipped. so all and good academics and extracurricular activities.

They have a pretty big hostel with rooms ranging from 2 sharing to 3 sharing. The food is not that great as usual but there are many eateries around where you can enjoy the food.

You would need help from senior students for the last year projects, and I would say they do help a lot. Also even college have a alumni network which the student can access through college management.

Exam structure is based on VTU curriculum. They have 8 semesters for 4 years degree. Every semester they have exams which has 5 subjects and 2 labs. exams are organized by VTU, so they are again very strict.
