College memories

Good remark-this college can kick start your career if you are willing to spend quality time bad remark- its a traditional south indian college with lots n lots of restrictions mainly for girls.

Course was par like any other college and the faculties are to the mark.most of them are having minimum of mtech degree and while others are all phd owners.

College itself doesnt provide any internship but it does have SAP i.e., semester abroad project which allows student to go abroad and do there project on their own terms. And companies do provide internship in place to final year project.

Placements are really good as i said before one of the reason to join this college was because of its placements percentage. Companies like google, microsoft, paypal, zoho, hcl, tcs, infosys and many more.i dont have exact figures of how much they offered but google was nearly 12-14 lpa, Microsoft 9lpa, paypal 14-15lpa, zoho 6lpa, listen 4.5 lpa.

There are events celebrated at my college all over the year.the main 2 events are kuruksastra that is a national cultural fest and daksh that is national technical fest. they are quite big and the participation number goes anywhere between 1500-2500 students from all over the world.

It is quite feasible if it is compared to its standards. when i joined college my tution fee was 35000 per semester so my whole year i would spend around 1.2 lakhs whereas if you compare with srm or vit. student spend around 2-2.5 lakhs every year which makes huge difference.

Yes we do get student loan. Our college has a tie up with Indian overseas bank which provides loan other than that there is no scholarship as such.

Campus life is good. Its bit in south india so adjust to the culture start loving there cuisine and you will fall right in.for some north indian guys it was tough but they settled in good. I was a part of rcs that is robotics club at sastra where we learned about robotics and won a few competition too.

Hostel are good but the mess is not so good. I survived on roadside dhabas and restaurant for my 5 year tenure.

Alumini network is okay. Most of us who got placed in the same company still do lunch together.we do meet with our seniors here and there. Whenever we need help regarding higher studies or job change we do take help from our seniors.

My college is in south india so the exam culture is quite hectic.the mid terms we have on consecutive days and 2 exams each day and we have 3 mid terms while the semester exams we get a day or two gap in between.
