Remarks
I got into the college on the basis of my JEE rank. It was around 81000. Then we have to go for online JOSSA seat allotment where we select our preferences for colleges and seats are offered purely on the basis of rank and reservations.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am in Information Technology branch and its course is nearly same as of CSE branch. I feel that the course is quite outdated and needs to be updated to meet the current requirements. Faculties of CSE/IT dept are good and supportive except a few. In other branches you might have some trouble with faculties.
Placement Experience
Since i am a 3rd year student, i don't have much idea about the placement process. We also have a startup cell in our college but i never had any interaction with them so i have no idea about that.
College Events
We have a lot of clubs and events going on in the college. I am not much interested in events or clubs so i don't have much idea about them. But what i got to know from my friends is that many of the clubs are working actively and they do conduct different events round the year.
Campus Life
In 2017, MITS celebrated its Diamond jubilee. Definitely, infrastructure is not so good but the best part is that a lot of construction work is going on in the college. We have a huge library here at MITS, but we also have a lot of regulations in our library like general students can issue a maximum of 5 books whereas SC/ST students can issue up to 8-9 books. We do have a Wi-Fi in our college but it has a daily limit of 35 MBs. Talking about our computer labs, they have computers equipped with latest i7 processors but we didn't had ACs in our labs till late 2019, which was indeed a huge issue in summer because many-a-times computers crashed because of extensive heat.
