Remarks
The college being in the city of Ranchi has an advantage, as we are very close to industries and this would mean more opportunities. Our hostel rooms have single rooms, which seem very luxurious for a MBA college. The fees for IIM Ranchi is also less as compared to most of it's sister New IIMS.
Course Curriculum Overview
The case studies used are great are from HBS. The courses taught are in a great way and has good interaction too. We are in between of ranchi, implying we do have enough industrial exposure, with live projects too. Faculties are open to discussion in class.
Placement Experience
The organizations that visit our campus for summer and final placements are highly reputed. Also the roles offered are great. Some of the top firms include HSBC, TATA steel, Delloite, Samsung, JPMorgan chase and co. etc. Some prominent roles offered are: Business analyst, product and project management, Brand manager, Asset management, wealth management, operations management etc
College Events
Campus life is great, and we have multiple college fests. AGON is IIM Ranchi's management fest with sponsors like HDFC, TATA steel etc. It organises many management competitions. Rush is IIM Ranchi's cultural fest which has events like solo dance (ALPHA BLAST), a fashion show (IRRADIATE) etc.
Campus Life
All basic facilities including wi-fi, library sports are available on the khelgaon campus. the sports facilities are great at khelgaon. Both academic block and hostel has Wi-Fi/ LAN enabled with 24X7 dedicated lease line connection and provides 1:1 10Mbps internet speed for every student. The printer room in the hostel has a printer connected to the network.
Hostel Facilities
I have opted for hostel, and everyone gets a single room apartment or multi-room apartment. nevertheless, you'll get your own room. All the hostel facilities are easily accessible including gym, mess, sports facilities.
