Remarks
SGSITS is one of the most esteemed colleges in M.P. for engineering. The alumni network in this college is strong as the education provided here has yielded in students getting into big companies through solid placements. As I did a background check on this college, I realised I'll acquire great knowledge here, as being a government college, gs has great resources and quality of students is also high.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum has been structured in a way as to incubate all important skills into the students. The Academic of this college is strong and I think subjects like Technical English and Engineering Economics broadens the mind. Faculties are a little less interactive but some of the old ones have a lot of knowledge so getting taught by them is great.
Placement Experience
Many of our alumni are in good positions in good companies so through LinkedIn, connecting with them is helpful when you're just starting with your career. Many good companies like Deloitte, Wipro and occasionally Goldman Sachs visit the colleges and placements are good for CS and IT branches. The Entrepreneurship cell of the college is very diverse and active. A lot of events like E-summit and Ideathon are held for students which broadens the concept of start-up and plants new ideas.
College Events
Campus is vibrant so hanging around with friends within the campus is fun. But not many events and extracurricular activities are held as the institute focuses on academics more. But the events that are held are great to enjoy with friends.
Campus Life
Library contains the basic books but it's not really that well maintained, many other books can be added and the shelves should be more organised. Also it's not open for a long time so that's a major minus point. Sports facilities are considerably good if compared to other colleges. The fields and courts are well maintained and on regular basis, competitions are held. Lab equipments are a little old but work nonetheless.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel instructure is particularly miserable. It's not well maintained. A lot of students reside in one single room and the sanitation isn't great. It's easy to get into hostel if you have a good rank
