Remarks
I am a CA aspirant but I wanted to have an undergrad degree and wanted to experience the college life, so SXC was the perfect choice because it is in my home town and it is one of the most prestigious colleges that we have in our country. The timings that we have (6 am to 9:50 am) was one of the factors as well that motivated me to join this college as it complements my CA tuitions and plus you're going to remember that you woke up at 4:30 am for three years for the rest of your life.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our course syllabus is quite up to date and dynamic. It covers a vast variety of subjects ranging from law to entrepreneurship. In the final year, we get to choose the field in which we want to enhance our knowledge in. We have to do a mandatory internship as a part of the course, so we do get a little bit of exposure to the real world.
Placement Experience
I am a 2nd-year student so I haven't had an opportunity to experience the placement process myself but I do know someone who got placed in Deloitte after graduation and as per my knowledge top and big companies do come to our college for recruitment.
College Events
Our Campus life is good. There are many events and fests that happen throughout the year, ranging from cultural fests such as Goonj to Management fests such as Insignia and many more events and then we have our annual fest XAVOTSAV which is the largest fest in East India. We have many societies that you can join such as XCS, EDC and Enactus.
Campus Life
Our infrastructure is really good despite being a 150-year-old college. It has wi-fi facilities for its students and a major portion of a separate building is dedicated to the library. The Library is really great and helpful for the students. We even have air-conditioners installed in some of our rooms.
