Entrance Preview
Symbiosis Aptitude Test is the entrance exam in which I scored 98 marks and got selected for BBA in Corporate Management. This institute is one of India's premier institute for this course and there was no second thought in selecting this option if you clear the entrance exam.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is a practical experience required in corporate world. The accounting subject actually teaches you to read financial statements of a company and calculate the ratios to know about the fundamentals. In short this course teaches you how to value a business. The faculty is one of the best with regular guest lectures from India's top business leaders.
Internships Opportunities
I did my internship in a NGO called Pradan in which my project was to study mango cultivation and its exports which would eventually help farmers in the long run. Second internship was in Geojit BNP Paribas in which I learnt all about stock market investments, technical & fundamental analysis.
Placement Experience
Students are placed in top companies such as KPMG, PWC, PepsiCo, Sharekhan, Motilal Oswal etc. The job profile in these companies is very good. Because of good brands, a student's career prospects becomes very bright.
College Events
Sympulse is the main college event of Symbiosis which is nationally recognized. It is organized on a large scale and involves participation from other B Schools too. The activities include Business Plan demonstration, Stock Market games, Fashion Shows, T20 cricket tournament and Food shows.
Fees and Financial Aid
Though scholarships are not available but any bank will give you study loan if you clear the entrance.
Campus Life
Students come from all parts of India and there are foreign students too. The demo UN sessions used to be the best activity in every semester. Apart from that, college used to organize open mic activities in which a student can perform anything he / she likes in front of the crowd.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels have very good amenities like good beds, wardrobe, study tables & chairs. Mess food is really awesome and the menu ranges from Chinese to Indian and thai food. The fees used to be Rs 1 lakh per annum and Rs 65000 per year for hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni is the best part. We keep in touch with each other on various job opportunities. In fact there is a group of alumni who discuss stock market investments and anyone who has interest in this field can join the group.
