Remarks
The first reason that I chose this college is that it has a NIT status and comes under the central government. It also is in my hometown only so I had that advantage also. The placements of the course are really good.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is really great. It gives the great insight into the course and helps in excelling various exams such as GATE also side by side. Faculties are also great and supportive. They help in whichever way they can.
Placement Experience
For metallurgy core Vedanta, Hindalco, Tata Steel, Reliance, Essar come and hiring rate is also high. For non core many companies for BA position come such as Deloitte, Quantiphi, Citi bank, Iqvia, 159 solutions, O9 solutions and higher significant amount of people.
College Events
Aarohi is the cultural festival of VNIT. It's centre India's largest cultural festival with participation of about 25000 over three days. I also served the position of treasure of the festival. AXIS is the technical festival of VNIT and is central India's largest technical festival with a participation of over 15000 over the three days.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee remission is offered by the central government for the candidates of any caste with a annual income less than 5 lakhs. 2/3rd of the fees are waived.
Campus Life
Campus infrastructure is great. The campus is of 220 acres so that's a lot of space. Wifi is not available in all the departments though. Sports facilities are great. We have a ground with tools required for almost all the sports available. Library is great and equipped with wifi.
