Course Curriculum Overview
Best acedemical teaching, experienced professors, nice Engineering curriculum. Civil engineering course was not up to date means industry requirements were not in the curriculum. Good Industrial exposure was provided by alumni association, tnp department in Nagpur metro, NIT etc. Best faculties were of applied mechanics, Civil, physics, electronic, computer science dept. Mathematics department was worse, they fail you by 1-2 marks margin also, teaching is also average.
Internships Opportunities
Yes internship in Nagpur metro. It was offered by college only. One needs to understand the whole construction procedure of metro, observe the Engineering application of knowledge. No stipend and one needs to be committed because 6 hours in field+ 1/2 hours travelling daily exhaust any person.
Placement Experience
Placement is good if you consider overall department, particularly CS, MECH, CHEMICAL had good placements in my batch. In civil engineering not many good companies came, those who came taken 2-3 people max. or offer very less package (less that 3lakhs)
College Events
Campus life was best time of my life, those 4 years I can't forget. Events IG (INSTITUTE GATHERING), DG(departmental gathering), AXIS, AAROHI, CONSO etc. are technical festivals of VNIT. In extracurricular one can play any sports, college offer best equipments for any sports be it Cricket, basketball, football, chess also college have different clubs which one can join depending on their interest like Halls bol is acting body one who is interested in acting can give audition.
Fees and Financial Aid
Mahadbt scholarship offered by college. One advice always talk politely with Nitin sir who check out all scholarship work.
Campus Life
Now acedemic building holds all departmental classes so best infrastructure, at my time all branches were having their own department in my department civil engineering classroom didn't had good presentation projector and classes.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel room is big enough. In 1st and 2nd year 4 person in a room allotted that makes a strong bond between roommates. Only advice is not select extension room and top floor room. Hostel fees+ mess is around 30K each semester. From 3rd year you get single room.
