Nitin Rawat's Review On University Institute Of Engineering And Technology -[UIET], Chandigarh

Overall college is decent with lots of improvement required this college has a very good future here comes with very good rank in JEE MAINS. So I think this college has a very good future.

I appeared for JEE MAINS in 2013 and I secured 171 marks. Actually I heard about this college in kota from my coaching institute Allen where one of my mentor adviced me to fill the form of JAC in which joint admission of many colleges take place such as PEC, UIET, UICET and CCET. Since I was getting CS in PEC but my main area of interest was in ME so I opted UIET and UIET has also got tag of PANJAB UNIVERSITY.

Course curriculum is same as of IIT but the way of teaching and knowledge deliver by the faculty is not upto the mark. Workshop arranged by college is very good. Practical labs does not have latest equipments that is the major drawback. Some of the faculties are very good for ex DR sanjay vohra he has a very vast experience in this field . many of the faculty are still pursuing there PhD from panjab university itself. But college has recently completed 15 years so there is still very scope of improvement.

Since the college is new students are required to arrange there own internship only college will provide a training letter . I did my training from DRDO secunderabad . DRDO is just awesome place to gain knowledge from one of the best scientists in India.

Placement of CS and IT are very good but ME, EEE and ECE student prefer gate, cat or ies rather than taking placement and placement of core branches are not that good.

Biggest fest of college is GOONJ budget is around 10 laks and technical fest is AAVISHKAR and and one EDC event UDYAAMI last year falak shaabir was one of the star performer.

Panjab government provides scholarship for there student and there is scholarship for EWS student also and IOCL also provides very good scholarship.

Campus environment is very good full greenery and all facility are available in the campus itself. 70% are women rest mens PU pay very much attention on extracurricular activities and sports facility are very good . debates takes place regularly in campus on current topics such as reservation system.

Hostel are just awesome in university annual fees is just around 10K and mess diet is around 30 rs and campus environment is very good .PG are easily available in sector-15 around for 2k per month.

There is alumni cell in our college which keep the complete database of alumni. College have very good network of alumni in various company of different country. Senior are very helpful here gives very good advice to career oriented students.
