Remarks
Being in Bangalore, the college has far more exposure than other colleges. The technical clubs here are quite good. The faculty is well educated and learned. Also, it is considered the best engineering college in Bangalore.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is well designed and oriented towards practical approach towards learning. The faculty at the college are mostly IITians or have written research papers in their field of knowledge. The college tries to encourage all the students to apply what they teach in class into real life situations.
Placement Experience
A lot of companies visit the college for placements. Though many of them, after taking mechanical engineering, want to pursue masters degree as well. Excluding those students the college has a high placement rate of 85% with highest package for mechanical going up to 20lpa.
College Events
There is much extracurricular activity in the college. The college doesnt promote its students to get indulged into such activities. However, we have our fest, 8th Mile in the consecutive years, E-summit in the other consecutive years. Apart from these there are various non-technical clubs like the drama club(CARV), Rotaract, Raag, Music Club(Alaap), dance club(Footprints), etc.
Campus Life
The campus is of 50acres, with the departments not too far from each other. The labs and library is decent enough for any engineering college but the sports facilities are not that good. The college also has an in-campus boys hostel and is starting in-campus girls hostel from 2020. The hostels and mess are very hygienic.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are very well built and are quite hygienic. Though there is a little communication problem with the staff if you do not know Kannada. The food taste is ok. The hostel rooms are good and are worked upon before a new batch comes into the hostels. The hostel accomodes almost 75-80% of non- localites.
