Remarks

It is one of the better campuses to be in. I personally did not feel any shortcoming either in learning facilities, faculty, exposure, or placement opportunities. It is here I could mold myself into a better individual. I am indeed thankful to IIBS for being instrumental in my professional life. There should not be any hesitation in picking IIBS as your choice of management school.

Entrance Preview

IIBS general goes by CAT & MAT scores in determining eligibility to its MBA program. It also conducts its own Entrance Test, which is recognized by the governing body. Though I tried to get through CAT & MAT norms, I had to appear for IIBSAT as my CAT & MAT scores were not good enough. In IIBSAT, I managed scores in the high 80s, and secured admission here.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

As an MBA aspirant I always wanted to study at an institute that employed latest syllabus. I had this in mind because I had learnt that it would be criterion during job recruitment. So I had checked with IIBS course curriculum from my seniors. Now, it turns out that I made a proper assessment, and got an honest feedback. Thank you IIBS for providing us with the most update syllabus.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, there is internship Program in the middle of academic session. IIBS arranges for internship with its own pool of associate companies. Therefore, it is easier to find internship opportunities. Leading FMCG, Financial, IT Services have taken IIBS students on internship basis with good stipend.

Placement Experience

4.5

I believe IIBS’ strength is its placement drive along with good learning facilities. We were fortunate to have a dedicated placement wing that took care of our placement need. Most of our friends got placed in good companies through campus selection alone. Just to name some of the leading companies that visited our campus are Reliance, Birla Sun life, Bajaj Allianz, Amazon, HDFC, Aircel, HSBC, and Indiabulls.

College Events

4.5

I can vividly recollect academic and extracurricular activities during my MBA study at IIBS. First you had guest lecture events. Then internship, international tour, and placement drive at our campus. Apart from these academic and career events, we were also encouraged to participate in adventure learning and management festivals. Together with, alumni meet, and Surface (our own cultural festival showcasing talent) rounded off an eventful year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I got to hear that IIBS started with one of the economical fee structures in the management education circle. Over the years, fees have steadily increased with improving facilities. Still, IIBS fees for a full-time MBA program are within students’ reach. Considering an MBA for an affordable cost of studies, IIBS might well be your choice – it costs around 6 to 8 lakhs for a two-year program inclusive of tuition fees and other miscellaneous expenditure like hostel, mess, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

I personally did not require any loan for my MBA education; I myself managed to avail education loan from my parents’ bank. Nor have heard to any such loans being sponsored for all. But there is always support and encouragement to meritorious student either with a sponsored scholarship, or placement in fortune companies.

Campus Life

4.5

I would always cherish my campus life at IIBS. What I loved most here at IIBS is an open environment for learning. We were a proper mix of boys and girls. Best classroom tuition, practical exposure through industrial exposure, extracurricular activities made for a memorable experience.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Student needs are well-taken care of. Hostel facilities are provided on need-basis. You can find separate hostel for boys & girls. Inside the hostel rooms, there is adequate space and furnishing for each of the students. We were served with hygienic food from a mess attached to the hostel. All this, at a cost of around Rs. 6000 per month.

Alumni/Alumna

I found IIBS Alumni Association very useful. It gave us a platform to connect with our seniors and benefit from their rich experience. The alumni forum is active throughout the year. Specially, an alumni meet is held every year, when alumni meet for an occasion filled with camaraderie.

Exam Structure

We had 4 Semesters spread over the two-year MBA program. Each paper had internal and external section aggregating to 100 marks. In each of the semesters, we were exposed to various aspects of management. As we progressed to higher semesters, we were introduced to electives of our choice. It was hectic but kept us occupied.

Faculty

4.5

I feel IIBS’ image is built around its faculty. The faculty has some of the best names in academic circles. Some of them have even served in reputed companies. Therefore, you can also learn from their practical experience. In addition, the institute also invites guest lectures from reputed organizations.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are good for marketing specialization. Compared to other specializations, from semester 2 itself, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank visit the campus. The highest package this year was 40 LPA, and the average package is around 6.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 70% for now. After getting the degree, selection in a good company is my plan.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered is moderate and there are limited opportunities for high paying roles compared to top tier colleges. Companies that visit the campus are mostly small to mid sized organizations. The placement cell is very supportive and conduct training sessions such as aptitude tests, mock interviews and soft skills development to prepare students for placements.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time.
