Remarks

SIBM Bengaluru has shown exceptional growth ever since its establishment. The academic structure is ideal and is equipped with a vibrant student life which makes the B-School life a wholesome experience. Also, the college is situated in the IT hub of the country - Bengaluru, Karnataka. The city gives a great experience. The admission process is as follows- First, the candidate has to appear for SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test), then on based on the SNAP percentile cutoffs, a shortlist is released. Then the shortlisted candidate has to appear for the GE (Group Exercise), WAT (Written Ability Test) and the PI (Personal Interview). Based on the scores of SNAP & the GEPIWAT process, a merit list is released, thus candidate secures her/his admission. I chose SIBM Bengaluru because of its student-centric culture and excellent pedagogy.

After the SNAP scores are released, the student is shortlisted on the basis of the cutoffs for the GEPIWAT (Group Exercise- Personal Interview- Written Ability Test) process. For the WAT, we were shown a couple of quotes and were asked to express our views on paper in a particular word limit. For the GE, we had a group discussion and the topic was related to the impacts of social media (topics may vary from group to group). And finally, for the personal interview, I was asked questions about my hobbies, my reason to opt for an MBA course, and other generic interview questions.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are good for marketing specialization. Compared to other specializations, from semester 2 itself, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank visit the campus. The highest package this year was 40 LPA, and the average package is around 6.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 70% for now. After getting the degree, selection in a good company is my plan.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered is moderate and there are limited opportunities for high paying roles compared to top tier colleges. Companies that visit the campus are mostly small to mid sized organizations. The placement cell is very supportive and conduct training sessions such as aptitude tests, mock interviews and soft skills development to prepare students for placements.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker.
