Burdwan Raj College - The place to study.

I choose this college because my whole family has studied from this college and its became a tradition for our family. I took admission in the year 2015 and completed my graduation from there in the year 2018. The teachers are very good and very much approachable and of course very much helpful to the students. But the administrative staffs are not so friendly. They are very rude and not helpful at all. One of the staff even steal money form me. The environment is great for study and there is very much opportunity for sports as well. In fact my colleges students have represented birdman university in international tournament held in China. Admission process is simple and fair. Applicants have to submit their application through the college website and on the basis on marks obtained by them their rank is generated and by rank they are called on to the counseling and admit themselves in their respective programs. Generally the admission process is completed within a month around June.

I did choose this course because it is a stepping stone to my goal of becoming a teacher. The student teacher ratio is 85:12. All the faculty members were UGC NET qualified and serving there as an associate professor. They are well qualified and experienced as well. Their method of teaching was great. They involve the whole class in their teaching. The final exams were conducted at the end of each year and a pre-test exam was held before that. The exams were difficult but it was not very difficult. It would require a student to work harder to get good marks in the exams.

Yes, the college does provide campus recruitment but its becoming less frequent. This program provide graduation degree which is not sufficient for employment in the present scenario. Each year 1 or 2 companies visit there for placement but their package offer is very low compared to the work. I did not appeared for the placements as I want to study higher.

The costs are minimal as this is a government sponsored college, the college is funded by the government and students are asked lower fees. The monthly tuition fees was Rs 75. Though various types of scholarship are available for the students with merit and poor economic class. The state and Central government also provide scholarship for the program, so it is not much costly to study at this college. At the end of my graduation Tata consultancy services did came for campus selection and some of my classmates got selected. As my goal was not for the job, I opted for higher education.

There was no particular name given for the college fest. It was held in the month of December every year. Yes various books and journals are available in the library. And the library has subscription for renamed journals like Taylor and Francis and SAGE. The sport department has always made us proud. In fact it is a prominent supplier of athletes to the burdwan university. No such social group does not exist.
