Remarks

Well first of all I would like to warn you that if you want to study seriously , it's not very good university for you. It's good for people who really want to enjoy their college life to the fullest or in terms of Amity students "FUN". It has huge over priced restaurant and cafes. Best is to have cafeteria lunch as it is cheaper but may/may not be as tasty as it looks. The way to earn good internals is to butter teachers somewhat and also perform in minors. A little preparation will take you miles in majors. Placements is ohk with almost all students getting placed. If you work hard you will get placed earlier that the rest and ATPC puts in full effort to get all students get placed.

Entrance Preview

Well obviously Amity University was not my first choice. However looking back, I feel that it was one of the good decision I made back then. I had scored 85% in 10th and 12th and a 91% in my best 4( Its just that I had screwed my entrance exams as i wanted to study abroad) . I have completed my B.Tech+MBA (Dual Degree) from Amity University,Noida in 2015 with a overall CGPA of 7.55/10 and nil backs.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The Curriculum is well defined and strict attendance of 75% per subject and regular classes justify the fees that you pay. Many people tend to think that this is just a party college. Well in my experiences of B.Tech & MBA Course, NO its not.Classes run from 9:15 am to 5-6 pm ( Sometimes this gets irritating)

Internships Opportunities

I have learned a lot from this college, specially developed a lot of soft skills which have helped me in placements and interviews. The 5 years i spent here were good enough. The college provides good infrastructure, decent faculties and a well defined curriculum. Most of the faculties are friendly and willing to help whenever needed. But at the end of the day its YOU who has to study. The faculty are from good academic background, some even from IITs and hence its upto you on how you utilize them.

Placement Experience

rands like KPMG,Deloitte,ZS Associates and all come to Amity for placements. Amity assures a placement in professional fields (if you meet their eligibility) .However, "Good" placements are what Amity should focus on. Yes, I agree that the ROI is less and the fees could be reduced by atleast 35-40%, But if you work hard and develop some skills, you can easily land a placement. ( I managed to secure a placement at Kotak Mahindra Bank with a package of 5 lacs) Average B.Tech package is around 3.5 Lacs and Average MBA package is around 5 Lacs ( which has huge potential to improve if the administration works on it) Some of my friends are working at 7-8 lacs as well. Its all upto you at the end of the day. Besides College, I got 1 more offer Letter from another company in off campus but had to refuse as the package was quite low. I have been called for interviews by firms like ZS Associates, Heidrick & Struggles etc as well. and YES you are eligible for a govt job after studying from Amity. My friend is working in Insurance Sector in a Govt. Job

College Events

In my opinion Amity's fest is not at all to the level of fest at IITs in every aspect. Fest at IITs are well organized and have set the standards very high. Amity can never organize such fests due to the lack of student body that plan the over all fest and its activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Amity mess provides best food of India. The rooms of amity is cleaned. and mess provide good quality of food. I didn't remember fees but fees is average. There are non AC single cubicle rooms available for first year students, further next year's hostel allotment depends on your Sgpa and conduct/discipline etc. Many first year students leave the hostel as soon as they get the chance, because outside the campus, freedom is yet another concept. Some say Amity's Campus life is great and has its own features while others find the food facilities extremely pathetic and hence choose to get outside.I suggest you to take the hostel for the first year so that you can enjoy and gradually understand the problems of hostel life.hostel fees is Around 1.3 lakhs

Campus Life

4.5

Colleges don't matter your hard work dedication gives you a pathway to success. Amity well what can i say joined as i had no other option to be truthful. But i haven't repented this decision ever since. Amity has given me a new personality changed how i look at life, how i work. It has expanded my horizons like every other place to study in India Amity has its positives and negatives one being it has too many students doing the same course and the fees is too much but the placements are no doubt there and our much better than any other private university out there. There are all kinds of people that study here and i was fortunate enough to meet my best friends here. Teachers are alright wouldn't say great , there is favoritism etc which should be got rid of feel. I feel for people who believe that people who study in Amity are not serious about there lives and just have come here to while away time i am afraid they are wrong. There might be exceptions but there always are in which ever place you go. But i wish i knew something s before would have done better but have no repent on joining or studying at Amity. The four years were the best years of my life now i wish they would just come back...

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is very friendly. Here you will find mixture of students , those who score 9.5+ to those who cant even manage to pass a semester. So its upto you on how you define this college. I scored a decent 7.5+ overall but had classmates who scored 8-8.5 all the time. I have even seen LinkedIn profiles of Amity Students ending up in good universities abroad and in even institutions like IIM. One of my batch mate even won a National Award for one app that he had developed. Yes Amity is a easy place to get admission into but in no way is it easy to survive: Its not casual at all ( At least in B.Tech and MBA). Overall the college life is good but a lot can be improved which i am sure it will, as many private educational institutions are competing against each other

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
