Remarks

College is good and the faculty is very co-operative.The only thing of improvement is if they give more focus on companies for placements by increasing relations with MNC's.

Entrance Preview

I gave IPU-CET (Common Entrance test), and secured 8500 rank in the same. At this rank the only option i was left to fill and capture seat was in this college. Also as its near my house location so without thinking i went for getting my seat reserved here. I opt out for filling for Information Technology branch. I was getting into NIEC college also but i dint consider that college as it was very far from my home.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course structure for IT and CSE is almost same as at the end, during the placement time all both sit for same companies. The thing i remember was the subjects in both streams are almost same except in 7th and 8th semester few subject differ in IT. If anybody wants to chose for IPU and particularly this college then he should opt between these to streams (provided that he wants to take placement) as there are very less companies who fetch student from ECE or Electrical.

Internships Opportunities

They provide an internship but that's not paid instead you have to pay 10k bucks to the company and most of the time HP only give in house internship. The internship is open for every candidates but particularly it is meant for 5th Sem and 8th sem.

Placement Experience

3

Placement is ok ok, as at my time (2015) there was recession and most of the students of my batch got off campus placement but The Training and placement cell helps a lot by sending them timely mails regarding off campus companies. In 2015 I guess the mass recruiter was CSC only and it took 30 students. After CSC every companies were like taking 4-5 students only. But if you consistently read your mails from TPO cell and goes for an off campus placements then for sure you will get somewhere.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In first year we gave 70k but from second year fees was revised to 95k (as according to the reason we were told by college accounts was that the college entered to Grade B colleges). The breakup is as follows it contains miscellaneous expenses-5000 and internet usage expenses-2000 and e books charge-2500, tution fees-70,000.They charge security deposit rs. 7500.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed for a loan or scholarship. so I dont have a knowledge about the same. The State bank of India was the first option My friend took for loan purpose but the interest was too high around 13 percent.

Campus Life

3.5

They have one technical fest also and i guess thats only meant for for those who are techno geeks i myself arranged a robotics workshop with DTU and took 15 students there, also I was the campus ambassador of techkriti also. So Again it only depends upon the students if they are interested they can arrange anything and the faculty will always help them.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostels charge too much for the stay i guess and i had my hometown as delhi only, also It was kinda scary to be around seniors and being bullied by them in the campus as they have easy access there. The facilities in the hostel was always good they provide good meals and tt tables were also placed in the hall for students.

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah off-course if you wanna stay well in college the first and foremost thing is your relations with seniors it should be always on top scale, as at the time of fest and technical it helps you alott to grow your connections.

Exam Structure

They follow basic examination system and rules as per IPU. It includes total of 8 semesters and in each semester they have two sessional exams of 30 marks for each subject and a final semester exam is of 75 marks which is known as external exam (each subject). out of 30 marks they count 1/3rd marks and add up to the external marks to make it out of 20 marks for two sessional and rest 5 marks are for attendance. So At the end colleges have these 25 marks on their hand and rest 75 marks from external exam is in the hand of main IP university. Also the most important thing for external exams they provide cent res and from 2014 we were getting BVP as our center.Do not forget in IPU passing marks is 50 out of 100 if you dont fetch minimum 50 mean you have a back and you have to give that exam again next year its a big spot on your marksheet and placement.I would suggest if you can secure 20-23 in sessional through your personal impression on teacher then getting 25-30 marks out of 75 is not a big task.

Faculty

4

On a scale of 10 I would give 8 to the faculty as every professor is very helpful and whenever you feel like to study a bit before exams everyone is ready to help you out.P-s this is common in IP that We students only get awake 1 day before exams. So at that case you can confidently go to any subject teacher and ask any doubts. They provide timely notes also for every subject.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
