Remarks
Pros:- Some lecturers are very much experienced. College atmosphere is good. No Ragging At All. Respect for everyone. Cons:- Most of lecturers are freshers. Too much population. Exam pattern is not at all competitive. Boring lectures.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is somewhat okay okay. Most of the syllabus is from class 12th. The biggest problem or benefit that is there is, if you have studied in English medium you don't have to do a lot of hard work because 90% of students will be from Gujarati medium and because of them syllabus will be very simple. You will be respected well if you are from English medium. Course is divided into 2 semesters for each year. In 1st year you will get 6 subjects in each semester. In 2nd and 3rd year there will be 7 subjects each semester. For every subject in each semester there will be four units. Exam pattern:- The Worst. I don't know why such worst pattern is opted by the officials. There will be 2 exams in each semester for each subject. One will be external exam of 30 marks in which you will get 30 MCQs. Another exam is internal which will be of 70 marks and which will be consisting 5 questions (1st of 10 marks consisting 4 questions from each unit, 2nd to 5th are questions of 15 marks from each unit) And to make it even worse, questions will be the one which do not deserve 15 questions.
Placement Experience
Placement:- Around 200 students out of 7500. Many banks as well as institutions come to the campus for campus placement eg. ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank etc. But package they provide is very less.
College Events
Elections- biggest event If you want to participate in elections then simply opt for it and start your publicity. Garba is celebrated at a huge scale. Go to the ground and take part. Ganesh Chaturthi. College Fest- If you want to participate then you need to fill online form. 1 or 2 other events are also there.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee Is Feasible. Not at all expensive. Widely accepted mode of payment is Cash but if you want to pay online you can pay by using the website. There is no additional fee charged by the college. The college provides transparency in the fee breakdown. Every amount is properly mentioned in the fee slip.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have not opted for any scholarship or education loan. The college does offer scholarship opportunities as well as education loans. If you wish to opt for a scholarship plan then contact the authorities.
Campus Life
Campus life is not much interesting. All the students are busy in their own groups. No one cares about others. They are just busy in their own world. If you like to stay alone and not in group, you won't be regretting taking admission in this college. Gender Ratio -Girls:Boys 55:45 Competitions such as debate, essay, poetry etc are conducted under college fest only.
Alumni/Alumna
I have not at all interacted with any alumni of the college. As far as senior students are concerned, they are helpful if you want some information.
Admission
Honestly, After completing 12th, I had no idea what I wanted to do. Most of my classmates opted for this college for 2 main reason, 1. It is located within city. 2. Almost everyone was opting for it. So, I also made my mind to take admission in this college. The process of admission is quite simple in this college. Let me explain you the process of admission into B.Com. First of all you need to register yourself through the website of the college. After registration on the website. You need to visit college premises and find out the date on which you are supposed to submit your documents. The dates will be according to the percentage you receive in 12th. Then, you have to submit the documents as well as there will be a thalassemia check for which they will take your blood sample. If you feel dizziness when they extract your blood into injection then don't forget to ask for biscuits from them. Then after you have to pay your fees for the year. This is the process. After this just wait for the classes to start. I got myself admitted in 2018.
Faculty
B.Com. is divided into 4 buildings and around 7500 students are admitted every single year which is way too much and which blows my mind. In each class there are around 200 students as per the records and in reality there will be only 30-40 students(Ironical right). In First Year, there are 3 lectures each single day and in 2nd and 3rd year there will be 4 lectures everyday. There are 25 lecturers in 1st year, and 35 in 2nd and 3rd year. Most of the lecturers are females and most of them are freshers. 3, 4 lecturers are very experienced and they have in-depth knowledge of their field. Other than these, all lecturers are completely new and they don't have much knowledge about the industry, subject or anything. Most of the lecturers teach in gujarati (A negative point indeed for the all students who don't know gujarati).
