JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY-Dream College

Jadavpur University is one of the top universities of India and is also recognised in the world. It gives every student a better perspective for future. Every student dreams of studying here. The college has a very big campus with almost every facility available. The admission is basically taken during June-August(for Honors courses) and the cutoff remains a bit high. But there is no process of getting into the college by other means.

Every course of this university is great. I took the Physics(Honors) course as I am a great lover of Physics from 7th standard. The admission is completely merit based and you need to have a good score in your class 12 exams to enter here. The faculty-student ratio is quite good as compared to other colleges. Every teacher is well qualified and gives his best so that a student understands about the subject. They also clears doubts personally and are truly helpful. They will explain it to you until you understand. They will help you to shape your future always. The college follows the CBCS system and therefore has 6 semesters. One of them is conducted in December- January and another on May-June. The question papers are not tough if you study well and follow the class.

Since I am only in 2nd year right now, I haven't got any internships but if u want to, the college always helps u to get that. The professors will also suggest you take the best internships which will get you great experiences.

Almost every student from the engineering department gets placed. The science department also has a healthy record as far as I know. There are various companies like Microsoft, Google, TCS, L&T which visits the college campus and recruits the best. Almost every student has a great review on the placement cell. After degree, I am going for higher studies.

Jadavpur University (JU) is state government aided university and therefore the cost of study is very less. There are no such things that a student coming from a poor family will not get admission etc. The college also helps to get various scholarships and will help you to manage your studies within your finances. The admission fees is around 2500 which is very very less as compared to other colleges. The college also helps us to get various internships and the campus job offered is well enough .

There are various fests which are conducted by evey faculty and any student can attend it. The campus life is truly wonderful. The seniors are helpful and will help you to get used with the campus. There are no signs of ragging in the college and it has its own Green Zone where you can sit and chill with you friends. JU supplies many sportspersons through their academy. There is a football ground as well as a cricket and basketball ground. Indoor games includes swimming, table tennis etc. There are also various clubs like Photography, Mountaineering etc which you can join and the memories which you will get will be cherished by you forever.
