Course Curriculum Overview
The education system overall in India needs a lot of improvements. it must be more carrier oriented. My degree didnt help me with my job. Whatever i learnt was only for the sole purpose of giving examination and getting a degree. My Sociology course was not industry specified. We were not given any career counselling by the college. We were left confused even after getting a degree.
Placement Experience
Common courses like mcom ma and msc didnt hv a direct placement platform. only high achievers would get offers Internships were only limited to the selected few.
College Events
The college conducts their yearly festivals and students get a chance to explore their extra curriculum skills like dance music.playing instruments etc It was very grand and there were many people who attented it. IT fest were organized too. it was good fun.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My fee was 22000 for a year which we had to deposit fully before the commencement of the first session of the year. there were no breakups. People who were not abled to pay the fees didnt secure admission and were not enrolled in the course. Few people who had low scores had to pay donations alind with the fee to get the seat.
Fees and Financial Aid
the college did not offer scholarship . we had to apply scholarship from other private organizations.
Campus Life
We had girls more the boys. we used to play cricket throwball carrom tennis.All students they belonged to good upper middle class families. Everyone belonged to diverse cities.cultures religion caste and ethics. everything was diversed. We were provided with both veg and non veg food. Sexual orientation was straight heterosexual.
Hostel Facilities
hotels were good. It were costly. Sharing rooms were available. but the food wasnt good.also there were no basic facilities like hot water or purified drinking water despite of the huge fees. Hostel had a huge playground.
Alumni/Alumna
We had a group on watsapp and facebook .so we could be in touch with our seniors for any help or consultation. it helped a lot
Admission
It was through my ssc scores. My name was featured in the 3rd and final list. i was just lucky. its one of the most popular colleges. It had good reputation and was famous in South Mumbai. The admission was based mostly on merit. so it was easy for me. Jus some documentation and it was done
Faculty
The lectures were held by Those who had a Master degree. The senior lecturer who instructed the junior ones was holding a phd degree. The age was on the higher side. they were middle aged.they held lectures as per the norms.The average age of profeesors was in mid 40s. We had 75 lectures in one semester
