The college need to step up in terms of placements and internships. But good teaching and free environment.

K-CET, I SCORED 90/180 in test. I was fascinated towards machines so i choosed mechanical engineering.. Your Ranking must be below 20000 in KCET to get an admission through a government seat. The reason I opted for this college was the short distance from my hometown. I.e., wadi jn around 40 km.

Overall course structure is good. Since its an autonomous institute it has got the freedom to modify the curriculum. It does not follows the curriculum which the university grants. This makes the college course unique among others institute in district. The curriculum provides us the distinct and in-depth knowledge of the mechanical engineering course. Coming to the electives, this college has got the most unique set of electives which we cannot find in other colleges. Some of them includes introduction to aircraft engineering, design of aircraft structures, entrepreneurship and management etc among others.

Not much assistance is provided on internships. But they issue letters of recommendation based upon the company we wish to do internship with. We have to try by ourself to get internship. I took letter from placement office and completed my internship at ACC cements ltd.wadi jn on zero stipend.

Only one backdrop of this college is its placements. Not a single core company visited the campus. Some IT related companies like cgi, global edge etc recruited other branch students. But one good thing started nowadays is that they have started the pre-placement training from agencies like Ethnus etc. This training helps you to develop your aptitude and soft skills needed to crack any interview process. The placements for IT related branches is a bit better than mechanical branch. Around 40-50 students of IT branches are placed here.

Nirvana' is the annual techno-cultural fest celebrated. It's celebrated in a large manner with huge participation. The colleges from across the state participate in this fest. There are great contest held in here. Contest like robo war, nfs2 car racing over lan, gol gappa eating etc are more fun evading and magical. There is also a DJ night at the last day of fest which is a great fun pact event. Dj shireen was called in the last fest I attended.

Fees is really feasible. Like 35k per year if you qualify k-cet.there are no extra charges apart from this. It's only a one time payment. If we opt for a government seat, we get a lot of scholarships like thrice the fees we pay. Coming to the management seat in mechanical engineering department it will cost around 8lacs for four years course. There are no other internal charges apart from the fees. They don't charge a single penny for maintenance or anything else.

Great scholarships for minority students. 30k per year for merit cum means. 18k per year kmdc loan facility.

Campus life is great you get time to chill out. Gender ratio is 1:1 equal. Many debates and competitions organised. The college is really diversified. It holds the motto of unity in diversity. We can find students from across the nation. At least 4-5 students from north east of india. Like arunachal pradesh, assam etc. The involvement of politics in governing bodies is a matter of concern but not much. There is no issues of fight due to religion, race, caste etc.

Hostel is average charges are economical. PG is good and costs are around 3-4k per month. In hostel you can get individual rooms and also the sharing ones. Depends upon us. The food provided by hostel is average. Around three times a day. And a snacks at evening. Quality of food is average. Don't expect much about food. As I said above pg provides good food and accommodation but charges more. Hostel charges around 40 k per annum. In hostel you'll get good electricity, water, and average food at least cost compared with pg. Plus the major benefit of hostel is its nearness to the college. The distance between college And hostel is hardly 1km.

Alumni network is great. You can find pda students in every mncs but they are not very helpful. But alumni come to college to speak about future road maps and give industrial insights. Alumni network has a great reach. But they are unable to help the students for placements.

Exams were pretty good, you'll not feel burden because of good teachings. And well you can chill in labs too.Exam structure is really good there are three internal exams. And one final exam per semester. That's all!!. The major exam is for 100 marks contains two parts A&B which have four questions each. We need to answer 5 choosing at least 2 from each part.

Faculty is 10/10 one of the prominent factor to opt the college. Most of them are qualified from prestigious IIT'S AND NIT'S with Phd's. Most of the faculty members of mechanical engineering department in particular are serving for more than 20 years. They have got good command over the subjects. They are really fluent in language. They are really helpful in resolving the doubts and problems of students. The faculty members are really student oriented. The help you not only in academics matter but also give suggestions on personal and career matters.
