College of National Importance alongwith the line of IITs

The good part of this college is the, it is the central government college of petroleum. The bad part of this college is that less number of students so that friend circle is not too big.

The course curriculum is quite well. The exam structure is as same as all IITs and NITs. In a semester there are two exam conducted by administrative .one is mid semester and another is final one. It is institute so that exam is conducted by itself. The course is research driven.

The placement of this is awesome. The percentage of placement of this college is 85-90%. The major PSU (ONGC,IOCL,BPCL,BORL,HPCL,HEML,OIL,GAIL,SHELL,etc.) had come every year for direct recruitment.

There are 3 big fest organised by this college. Kaltarang is biggest cultural fest organised by this college in all over Lucknow. Energia is sport fest and Urjostav is technical fest organised by college. There are also many festival organised by students such as Diwali, yoga day etc. College always organised international conference every year .

Fee Structure of this college is similar as IITs but there is no fees concessions. There are reservation available for SC and ST students but no any reservations are available for economically backward students of OBC and GENERAL category students.

I didn't opted any scholarships or educational loan but there are scholarship available on the basis of cgpa.

The gender ratio is quite low as like as other IITs. In my batch gender ratio is 15:1 .There is world class sport facilities available in this college. There are 3 big fest organised by this college in cultural,sport and technical field. The social life not quite well as NITs and IITs because low strength of students.

I opted hostel because no facilities available for outsiders ( who don't wants to opted hostel) as similar as IITs and NITs. The hostel rooms are well furnished . There are two bed in one rooms for btech 1-3 year afterwards they give single room. The quality of the room is far better than many IITs and NITs.

Senior are always helpful in academic as well as career guidance. This college is quite new so that Almuni network is not big but strong.

I got admission in this college through jee Advanced exam. There is seprate counseling for this college. The cut off petroleum engineering is nearly 14k(AIR) in jee Advanced. It is no 1.college of petroleum technology of central government. This college is not included in josaa counseling therefore it's take it own counseling.

There are total 6 lecture in my course per day. The profeesor is knowledgeable in their subjects. The learning environment in the college is quite well established. The profeesor of this college is expertise in their field because they all are done their PhD from renowned foreign universities.
