Jec is a good College and with a great history

The college don't provide internship at its own. But you are lucky enough if it did. I have seen it giving interns to few students this year but not before that. It's making efforts for students but we can't really rely upon it. We have to work hard too. But it's infrastructure is not really sound and no efforts on infrastructure is made.

Course curriculum is a bit out dated we can say. They need to update it. Exam structure is fine and easy if you study fine. Few teachers motivates a lot to learn industry specific courses from self. But college doesn't provide any such extra industry specific option.

The placements are average. In cse/it there is 90% placements. And avg package is still 3.5-4 lac. Highest can go upto 15 lac or so.

There is induction programme for first years as you enter the college. You'll get to know about college, it's societies and more. Then there's sport fest Aavahan and cultural fest that happens once in two years. All these are conducted by students and faculties take minimum part in these.

Fee structure is feasible and college and govt provide a lot of scholarships. Around 25k per year. There's transparency in fee structure and no extra charges are added. Just you have to pay exam fees that's also quite nominal before exams. Payments are accepted generally online and sometimes it's also offline for few things.

I availed mukhyamantri medhavi Chhatra yojna scholarship. So all my tuition fee is paid by government. This can be availed on basis of jee main rank and your family income. For more information go to its govt site by searching it on browser.(no caste criteria in this). Other people get full fees paid by govt if their parents have green card. And their are other scholarships for ST/SC/OBC.

Workshops are conducted by various societies like ACM Jec and IIC. Udgam conducts various workshops and guides students. The debate society is also there. There is sports team for various sports. All these usually are again managed by senior students. There is also a fitness club started by students.

The aluminium network is quite great. Sharat saxena, ajai Choudhary(HCl co-founder) Seniors are really helpful here. They are like your buddies.

Got admission through jee mains (+you must have more than 75% in 12th for general category). Generally, mp dte online site provides counselling. Based on ranks in entrance exams like jee mains. Then gate and other exams are criteria for masters.

Faculties are either from iits, nits, or done PhD or masters. But after new policies there is more recruitment from iits. They are fine but you should not just depend on them for studies. They just give you a start rest you will have to do many things on your own.
