Remarks
Amity is different. That's because Amity opens its gates to people from all walks.. literally! You'll find meritorious candidates, and dumb idiots straight from the gates of hell. You'll find Indians, Brits and Africans. You'll find people from all castes, regions and religions. So Amity is a university of many colors. But does that mean it's tough to survive or focus here? NONSENSE. The only effect that the people have is the additional ability they give you in tackling different kinds of people, managing yourself and your team. You can learn a lot here that you can't learn at any IIT or NIT. That's because of this difference. Finally as far as placements or value building is concerned, let me tell you an interesting fact american Universities never feature placements! They never conduct on-campus interviews or placement functions to provide students with jobs they simply allow their graduates to visit job fairs after graduation where they can apply and then the interview takes place on-site of the company.
Entrance Preview
AIEEE Rank 1,26,000 Well obviously Amity University was not my first choice. However looking back, I feel that it was one of the good decision I made back then. I had scored 85% in 10th and 65% in 12th. I came here because i didn't crack the entrance exams for engineering like IIT-JEE.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is one of the best in the country. With it being inclusive of a mandatory choice of Foreign Language (you get to choose one among French, Spanish, Chinese and German), Basket Course (it is an interdisciplinary program that lets you choose subjects like Cooking, Stitching, Law, Governance, Business, Ethics etc.), Behavioral Science (in other words, Psychology. Why become a graduate if you cannot understand the way your mind functions?), Communication Skills (English, Soft Skills Training, Prose, Poetry, Interview and Group Discussion Tips - everything is covered) etc.
Internships Opportunities
A'll have to find them on your own. Now, it depends on things like your contacts, your eligibility (eligibility criteria required in the firm in which you are applying as an intern, if they have any). That's it. Amity asks students to go for internships after the end of 3rd year. So, I guess you can build contacts in three years if you want to.
Placement Experience
Again, a very debatable topic. Half the people at Amity are not capable of earning a job, which is why they blame the college. Cowards they are! :) For a non-IITian institute, the campus offers decent placements. Companies offer anything between 2 - 11 l.p.a. That is decent. If you are smart, you get a good package; otherwise, it’s your funeral. The CRC gives you about 8 months to appear in different companies (provided you have a six pointer and above, you are eligible to appear). I repeat, it is not necessary that the college offers opportunities for every branch. CS/IT and other engineering branches have it easier. But I can guarantee that the University gives you all the resources and qualities to develop yourself and earn yourself a job, even if it is off-campus. Engineers from CS/IT, ECE/EEE, Biotechnology have decent opportunities on campus also, though.
College Events
Name an activity, and you have it here. Our dance clubs have won national level fests at IITs. Our students have won national and international awards in sports, acads, championships and what not. There is no dearth for talent here! If you find the right group, you will end up reforming yourself at the end of four years.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees is 250000 around for B.Tech and also some scholarship you can get if percentage is good.Amity different universities have different fee structure. Yes, I agree that the ROI is less and the fees could be reduced by atleast 35-40%, But if you work hard and develop some skills, you can easily land a placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
You'll get tired counting the number of 100% scholarship holders on campus, and you need 93%+ in class XII to achieve it, and then every year you need to be in top 15% of your batch to maintain it.Amity believe in rewarding the hard work and excellence achieved by meritorious students in their academic endeavors. As part of this ongoing initiative, in 2013 over Rs. 60 crores worth of Scholarships have been awarded to students on need or merit basis. The Amity Scholarships have been initiated to encourage the talents of such students, thereby strengthening the roots of our future generation. A small step towards the collective goal of making India the knowledge superpower of the world.
Campus Life
Our students have won national and international awards in sports, acads, championships and what not. There is no dearth for talent here! If you find the right group, you will end up reforming yourself at the end of four years. The campus is very very very safe. So safe that their rules sometimes irk the students. Lol. No issues here.
Hostel Facilities
Although the variety of food available is lesser than that in Noida, it is cheaper and tastier. I mean, the normal economy meals available in the canteen! . Amity mess provides best food of India you have unlimited options to choose from. From Subway, Dominos and multiple canteen areas in every single block, to momos, chinese, mexican, rolls, desserts, chaats and what-not. Trust me, this is an area you’d never crib about here.
Alumni/Alumna
Recently Amity has been ranked as one of the best private universities of India and has been given rank above the iim's. Surely it is not better than the iim's as the rankings were based on a lot of factors such as no. of students and international campuses which amity has and thus the rankings. Amity is a bit expensive university because of its infrastructure and facilities. It has a very good teaching method and experienced faculties and a decent placement record. Amity is a non-profit organization, it does not take any donations. It has it's entrance exam followed by an interview. Overall it is a preety decent college.
Exam Structure
Well, first of all I would like to warn you that if you want to study seriously , it's not very good university for you its good for people who really want to enjoy their college life to the fullest or in terms of Amity students "FUN". The way to earn good internals is to butter teachers somewhat and also perform in minors. A little preparation will take you miles in majors.
Admission
I joined Amity and particularly I didn't like it much left it after one year although Amity has everything to attract a student good rankings placement records and brand recognition but I particularly didn't like the faculty they were relatively young and not that serious i don't regret leaving amity although amity has all type of students the studious serious ones and the fun frolic loving students but its still a great place to learn many things.
Faculty
The faculty are from good academic background, some even from IITs and hence its upto you on how you utilize them.Teaching staff consist of newbi or fresher teachers monstly, since no good teacher will like to teach a class of 100+ student.Amity has some of the most talented and dedicated thought leaders in the country who come from the best institutions around the world. Not only are they academically and professionally amongst the best, but have high standards of moral and ethical values, so that they can be true role models.
