There are many perks of being a Harcourtian but no college system is perfect but we adapt to the flaws of the system until after we pass out and we miss even those things we dislike. Things like chilled out atmosphere,flexible attendance and students from various cultures,centralized location of the college.etc.There's many more that I didn't remember. There are failures in the system too.The facilities rendered are not much and faculty are not much concerned about that too. On the whole, we get to do a lot more in the college than just to be burdened by the intricacies because of the flexibility in the system i would infer by saying that I am proud to be a Harcourtian.

I took UPTU examination and scored a total of 476 out of 600 and got a rank of 685.I liked computers as a subject in intermediate so i opt it. It's the best UPTU college and now has also become a university.

The stream is endless i mean anybody could explore many things in it there are subjects like Data mining,computer networking, compiler design, DBMS and image processing that has wide scope in our daily life for placements into MNCs and further research data structures and algorithms comes into picture.

The companies like Exxon Mobil ,TCS , Yatra , Samsung and startups comes to our college for rendering us with the internships and for the core branches its mandatory to do an internship which the college provides to the student the general stipend depends on the location but an amount ample for the interns is provided and we get to to learn a lot from the corporate world.

Placements in the college is well companies like Payu, Yatra, Sapient, TCS, Samsung, Adobe, Amazon, MuSigma, Nucleus, etc comes to our college for our stream other mega companies like Exxon, Tata Motors,General Motors, Neslte,etc comes for other streams. Packages range from 3-15 lacs for CSE field and the people placed in it are above 80 percent so it's a good opportunity to be placed from a college like HBTI.

There are 6 technical fests for various branches in our college they are not much big but they do fascinate a whole lot of people various fest like Incord for CSE, Mecharnival for ME, Techera for ET and others like Interface,Resonance and Nirmaan. One cultural fest Odyssey is there which is good and renowned people came in there and various students from different colleges came in there.

Fee structure is feasible.The study of all courses includes a registration of 55K plus a hostel and mess fees of 25K.The total fees is under 80K. For the students that can't pay much they are also entitled to a scholarship. The fees is refunded by the college for those who have a family income under 2lac. The refund is under the UP government and includes a mess fees and hostel fees too.

As I talked in the fees structure,the students having family income below 2lacs are entitled to a scholarship.I am availing scholarship from 2 years as I didn't know about the facility in 1st yr.Whole registration and hostel fees is refunded by the college.

Coming to the point of gender ratio,the ratio of girls to boys is very less.College is however expaned in many sports activities like Table Tennis, Badminton ,Criclet ,Volleyball,etc.The student coordinator are there for every filed lie as in literarture, photography, personality development and hobby clus,etc. The various activities like athletics meet, marathon,nukkad natak are the ones in many of them the cultural fest attract a lot and includes activities like dances,fashion shows,kavi sammelan,live performances,etc many technical fests accounts to various activities like seminars about aeronautics,robotics,etc and playful activities like games,debates.

There are two campuses one for the academics and overall functionality if the college(77 acres) and other for the accommodation of the students and students facilities(250 acres).So the hostel facilities in the latter is like as in any government college.Its not that good and the mess facility is bad to be frank but people get accustomed to it or else to the junk. Students also take PGs and flats which cost around 10K for 2BHK rooms and average rent of 5K is paid by the students.

The pass outs are very helpful as they guide us through the overall placements and they give us the motivation to be in a reputed company like ours. Our alumni has a whatsapp group and are helpful to queries they give valuable advice when they visit our college and they are an inspiration to us.

Exams are always hectic for anybody when in an engineering college but labs,assignments comes along easily and is not a much burden as it is much chilled out overall exam structure is cool. We have option in giving class tests from 2 out of 3 end semester are the only 10-15 days that we feel we have to study a lot rest days are cool and we don't have to worry a l lot about attendance.

I got admission through UPTU counselling it was a tedious process but at last i got what i wanted. Notification about it released around august for first round of counselling and administrative procedure took a long time but finally selected me for the college.

The standards if i a to be honest are not at par with the IITs and other esteemed colleges the faculty of our department is qualified but did lack the interest in teaching the students, Maybe we can say the other way round. But its good to be such a college as we are not bound to the daily attendance and burdensome assignments.
