Remarks

Our college is called the main campus of the GGSIPU, so it has better facilities and infrastructures than the affiliated colleges.

Entrance Preview

GGSIPU Entrance Exam to get entrance in this college, got rank below 500 and this is within top 5 college to study. So I opted this for Computer science.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course structure is similar to what IIT Delhi and NSIT and DCE have to offer in Delhi but definitely less options then these colleges. For research it has options for Ph.D and M.Tech. And the faculty and professors are qualified and senior. If offers for the AI(Artificial Intelligence), Robotics, Advanced learning on computer networks.

Internships Opportunities

For the Master in Technology M.Tech, our college provides the Stipend as per the government rules for the Gate Qualifiers and also for the Top 3 students of the college, our college offers scholarship of 10,000 per year for that year. For my batch, around 10-15 companies came and I got placed in very good company from Campus placement itself. Our Campus offered 100 percent placement.

Placement Experience

4

For my batch, around 10-15 companies came and I got placed in very good company from Campus placement itself. Our Campus offered 100 percent placement. Minimum criteria for comapny to enter in campus placement was 3lpa and all offered more than this only and best was from Microsoft and Google of around 13lpa.

College Events

4

We have several technical and the cultural fests at the college and the university level as well. USIT has its own tech and cultural festivals and Anugoonj is the main GGSIPU fest, in which all the affiliated colleges participate. Anugoonj i sreally big as entire GGSIPU colleges participate from all zones of the NCR.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure for the govt college at my time was average around 35k per year and not sure not now. For the private affiliated colleges it was around 60k per year. It includes the security fees and other fess as well. For the private is little higher as those colleges are run by private administration.

Fees and Financial Aid

As my college was the govt college, so it had the loan facility also with some affiliated banks like Punjab and sind bank. Not sure for now. I did not avail the Loan facility.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus was really awesome and best connectivity to all parts of the delhi. Its in the heart of delhi so every place was well connected via the bus, metro and train. ISBT, Metro Station and old delhi railway station were at the walking distance so every one used to avail the public transport service. Our college is member of IEEE,IETE and other as well. And it offers various workshops for other colleges as well.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Campus used to different hostels for the boys and girls. PGs were also there near by the campus for both the girls and the boys students at very fair price. But now the campus is shifted to dwarka and i have heard that it has a very good hostel and mess facilities are also amazing.

Alumni/Alumna

Our seniors from the 2010 batch pass outs were very helping and provided excellent coaching and mentoring to us. They always guided us in everything from the subjects till the placements. I have strong network of my seniors and they have really let me get the campus placement.

Exam Structure

We had labs every week for each of the subject having practicals. And lab timings were perfect and for a few we had twice as well. Labs are well managed and trained staff used to handle us. And the pressure was not there for schedule. Our daily Timetable was always well balanced for lectures and practicals.

Admission

Forms are generally out in Feb ,March and exam in May and June. After giving the entrance exam and getting the rank, I went for counselling and based on the preference of colleges. Administration is good and now I have heard most of the things are online.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty of this college is highly qualified and most of them are very senior and have in depth knowledge. I still remember our college dean was Mr KK Agarwal and Student Counsellor yogesh singh who are the author of the Software Engineering book which all the students in India refer for software Engineering. Also we had PC Chandra, Rinkaj Goyal Sir as best faculty for Automata, Compiler Design.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
