Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Central University of Karnataka

It is a central University and studying at it has its perks. It has a big and wide campus and students from all around India. This gives a student exposure to different kind of people. There we are provided with a good and experienced faculty who tries their best to help the students.

I chose BBA because I had an interest in the business field. Joining BBA at the Central University of Karnataka showed me a new perspective. The faculty is very friendly and helpful. They conduct regular classes and extracurricular activities to boost our knowledge. Business Fest was also held by the Business Department. It gave us exposure to students from different colleges. All the teachers and staff are available at any time of the day. Even though online classes are conducted, the faculty makes sure that it is received by all students and that it is conducted as per all the student's convenience.

There have been only a few campus placement that has taken place. So I am not sure what I should say about that. I personally prefer to continue my studies after BBA. I might go for MBA after I complete my degree.

As the institution is a part of Central University, the fees are comparatively low. Most of the students receive a post matric scholarship that is offered by the Central Government. There has been a small issue in fees after the lockdown as the campus asked students to pay for on-campus services that are not accessible from our home. But the authority has offered to take the needed action as soon as possible.

The campus stretches across 650 acres of land. There is all kind of activities and enjoyment inside the campus. There is no kind of unwanted restrictions or thing inside the campus walls. Each hostel(boys and girls) has its own open gym where the students can exercise and stay fit. Events take place inside campus. These events are not pre-planned or something. It is conducted by some department. Freshers' day event includes food and refreshments. Sports day events are also conducted which is almost for 3-4 days, can be more.

Hostels are good and they are clean. No kind of disturbance is faced in the hostel. The food sometimes is not favorable as students like me coming from outside Karnataka will not like their food. But this is only the case sometimes. Everybody on the hostel premises is friendly. They provide 3 meals a day and tea during the evening. Hostel rooms are given according to the comfort of the student. People coming from the same place are usually placed in the same room. This helps new students to cope up with the new atmosphere.

As the students are selected on the basis of the CUCET exam, there is a short interview during the admission. The teachers ask us about the marks we scored and our certificates and interests. The process of admission is not difficult. We have to find the room where the faculty of the respective department is sitting and meet them to submit your CUCET mark card. As per marks, they call students for the above-mentioned interview. There is no need to prepare for any tough questions because the staff is friendly and only asked common questions like why choose BBA or Why this Campus and so on.
