Perfect college to study in.

College life in vit was the best for the personal and technical growth of a person a student in it can grow in any direction they want to.

IIT JEE-9614, AIEEE-7859, BITSAT-254 have chosen this because I wanted to opt ece which I could not get in other nits/iits with my rank in those exams. And VIT is considered to be one of the top 10 universities in India for B.Tech.

The course structure was good elective courses are also really good. Infrastructure in vit is the best. The lab pieces of equipment are the latest and provide all the facilities for research. Vit also has abet recognition which gives the students the opportunity to study in abroad.

Placements in vit is 100%. Accenture/wipro/infosys/tcs/cognizant offer 3.5lpa. Exl-5+1, cisco-8.5, mckinsey-10, codonation-24, latent view-4.5, practo-6, sapient-6, mu-sigma-4+5, maruti-4,tata communications-4, kpmg-5, zs associates-6, around 250-300companies offer 5-10lpa.

There are many cultural and technical fests and events conducted our technical fest is gravitas conducted in September mostly and cultural fest-riviera is conducted in February they organizers and sponsors are really enthusiastic and they also conduct some internal dance club/music club/robotics club and many more technical events.

The fee structure is feasible compared to other colleges course fee per year is 1.3lkh according to recent statistics it was 95000 per year in 2011/12. Hostel, library, and inclusive of everything it costs up to 2lkh per year. It cost me 6.3 lakh for four years for the 2011-15 batch. I should be around 8-8.5lkhs for four years for the 2015-2019 batch.

Scholarships are offered for the top 100 ranks in the entrance exam loan facility is also available but I have not opted for it.

Gender ratio 70:30 many extra-curricular activities are conducted like dance clubs/music clubs/robotics clubs/drama club/radio club. Debates are also conducted dance club plays a major role and some of the other events is conducted every week.

Mess food was qualitative they have 4 cuisines. South Indian, North Indian, special mess, and Chinese. Hostels for 1st year is a separate building which is also in the same hostel campus but all first years are put in a block to be free from ragging hostels and mess areas are very neat and clean always.

It was decent not too chilled out nor hectic they have internals(50 marks converted to 15 each) exams, 3 class tests(5 marks each) and an assignment-5 marks and 1 final semester exam which is conducted in may/November end. This is of 100 marks which is taken to 50 marks. There are one internal lab test and one at semester end it is also taken for 100 marks.

I have got a 3200 rank in vit entrance exam. The admission process was pretty simple. They give a date for us to report at the university based on our rank. You are given a form to fill and submit all the relevant documents with it where you will be choosing the degree you want. An admission letter is given to you and also a sheet in which all the study expenses+hostel(if opted) are listed for all four years.

Faculty is good especially ECE faculty are talented and really are too interested in teaching and guiding students in a particular way they have to.
