Remarks
College management is good but definitely can do better.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is pretty much similar to the other colleges. The main subjects aren't much relevant but there are certain electives which we may choose according to our interests and they help a lot. The Exam structure is not at all helpful for a student to make him a better profeesional since rote learning doesn't help a person develop his technical skills.
Placement Experience
Placements in this college are not really upto the mark considering the hype created by the management. Though a lot of famous companies like JP Morgan, Oracle, Tech Mahindra, Accenture come to the college to recruit students, the average package is low.The management takes special care for the students to prepare them for placements only when students come to their 4th year of graduation. Management just orders the students to undergo an internship before they complete their third year but student must entirely prepare for it since college doesn't help the student in any way.
College Events
There is a technical fest and a cultural fest every year known as SUDHEE and SHRUTHI respectively. There's another fest called CARPEDIEM which is claimed to be the largest fest hosted by a South Indian private college but was banned by the college management 4 years back. The cultural fest was initially held on a large scale but slowly lost its significance because the college management is trying to convert the campus into a completely technical one and fests like these aren't appreciated much.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is a bit heavy for all the facilities being provided. The fee currently is 1.13L per annum and the college isn't worth the amount we are paying. The infrastructure is not renewed and is not at all good. The amenities are not upto the mark.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are a few scholarships provided by the government which are merit based but not by the college. The college does not provide any scholarship facilities.
Campus Life
Campus life is normal and bit stressful here. There are a lot of clubs which play a key role for enhancing students' skills. Girls and boys equally participate in these clubs. There is a literary club known as Communicando and there is a college news paper known as Transcendent. Workshops will be held every now and then. Diversity among students is very huge when it comes to religion or economic status. A few students come from a very poor background entirely relying on scholarships whereas some come from a very rich background.
Hostel Facilities
No. I travel by college bus. There is no college hostel facility but there are a few private hostels only for CBIT students within a range of 1 km. The hostel fee varies from each hostel and there are no complaints heard about the hostels till date by anyone in my circle.
Alumni/Alumna
College seniors are very helpful in all the ways and they will be there to guide us in any moment of time if needed. There will be alumni meets every year hosted by the club's in the college and College alumni come and share their valuable thoughts and knowledge with us.
Admission
To get admission into this college, we need to take an entrance exam called TS EAMCET. I've cleared this exam with a rank of 1260 and since this was the best rated private college in Telangana, I've opted for it and pursuing CSE was my dream. So I got into CBIT CSE.
Faculty
The lecturers here very qualified enough for the job. Their knowledge on the subject is really great and if properly contacted, they are the best source for knowledge and information and to develop our technical skills. Some of them came into this teaching field after working in some really big IT companies. Overall, the faculty here is really appreciable.
