Remarks
I like pure science. I tried for iiser by writing their exam but did not qualify. Then I chose this college. I searched it up on Google found it was close to the city and resources are available close by.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course syllabus during first year is same as that of the engineering students. Even though we chose MSc we had mandatory workshops for civil engineering and mechanical engineering, and had computer class. In the second year, the syllabus focuses on the course i.e. physics. They didn't update about the course layout during admission though. Almost all faculty members are great.
Placement Experience
I am still studying and do not know much about the placement but for my course there was only 67% placement in the year 2018, but science opt for PhD course, therefore it is not directly relatable. Engineering students may have had better placements.
College Events
The campus life is enjoyable, has separate canteens for most hostels and a main canteen. There are many clubs and each club conducts some events regularly. The notices are put in the notice board and requires active participation of the students. The main cultural event SPARSH is conducted only once in two years. Inter-Nit tournaments are conducted.
Campus Life
Great gym, hostels are good, most of the sport equipments are available but the ground was cleared up recently, classroom is conducted in a separate building. Wifi is available for 10gb per day for students
Hostel Facilities
There are 9 hostels in the campus. Most hostels are single occupied, but there are some which is sharing between two. Mostly if students availed are less, some may get the room for himself. The rooms are neat and are cleaned twice in a week. Also, hostels are to be changed when we go to the next year.
