Remarks

The management is weak i would say very weak but i cant complain because as i mentioned earlier due to the three way split of Bangalore University the management is trying to cope up with the situation.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course which i am pursuing right now is BA and this by far doesnt need many research but for students who are preparing for Competitive exams like Upsc can focus on mant aspects. The college provides with a good ample amount of teachers with a decent experience.

Placement Experience

2

The placement here is not that great as to I know,After pursuing graduation you have to opt for a master degree but there are companies which come the college as per their requirement

College Events

4.5

College fest includes all the cultural and sports activities. Also certian exhibition takes place at the college as per department wise. The college is well on with the basic or you can say patriotic events like Independence day or Republic day and each and every occasions like these are celebrated like they are celebrated for the 1st time

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible 30000 for the whole course "Universitysolutions" is the site where the fees are paid and it is digital and the site. The site is new and is full of glitches and once while I was submitting my 1st semester fees the payment was successful but it showed that the payment was never done after several mails to the management and concerned authorities i got back my money

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not aware of any kind of scholarship offered by the college. There are seats reserved for some certain classes of society

Campus Life

Gender Ratio is 4:1 Girl per boy and the religion ratio might be majorly hindu dominanted, Sports is valued at Bangalore Central University and the university is a three way split of the Bangalore University,So the cultural societies and the community have a strong hold

Hostel Facilities

No.I am a day scholar I stay with my cousins and as bangalore is expensive i almost spend 7000 per month excluding the rent we share,And addition to that the petty expenses add up and i spend around 10k per month

Alumni/Alumna

No the Alumni connection is almost zero,I never remember anyone come visit there college with childrens running around them.

Admission

As i am preparing for the civil service exams i thought that starting the preparation with my graduation would help me a lot in bringing regularity in my life and in addition to that the syllabus of BA in Bangalore Central University overlap some of the topics of Civil Serivice Syllabus. The admisson to Bengaluru Central University is Pretty simple, its just walk in interview type Admission. The admisson for new clusters starts from mid - July.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty if i could rate, then i would give them 7/10.The teachers are great but the education system of India is well known by the person who is reviewing this. The teachers wont pay attention to you , they would just do their job and leave the class room

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Manipal Institute of Communication - [MIC], Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Media and Communication)
Reviewed on Oct 1, 2021(Enrolled 2020)

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
