For B.Tech, JNTUA is a great opportunity your life is secured as most of the students will leave the college with a job in their hand for M.Tech JNTUA still is a good option because you can get into teaching in any tier 2 colleges easily as you will have university's degree.

GATE You have to clear your GATE exam to get into JNTUA you can also get into the university if you clear AP-PGECET but the chances are less as the first priority will be for Gate students. I have secured 413 rank in pgecet i choose Electrical engineering because it has more opportunities than other branches. You can get into IT or Energy industry if you are into EEE.

The course of M.Tech is for two years(four semesters). The first two semesters involve classroom studying you have to do your project work in the third and fourth semesters. You will have two internal examinations followed by Final Examinations in the first and second semesters you will have 6 subjects and 1 laboratory practical as the course subjects.

During project work, you can do your project in government organizations and faculty approve it but it is not a paid internship there is no stipend. But you can do your project work for around 10 months as the whole second year is dedicated to project work.

For M.Tech students placement opportunities are limited but Tata consultancy services (TCS) recruits M.tech students also for M.tech Students TCS also offers package a little more (3.6lpa) than what is offers to B.tech freshers(3.2lpa) for B.Tech Graduates there will be lot of opportunists. Many Companies like Capgemini, Accenture, TCS will be coming for campus placements they would offer around 3lpa to 5lpa.

There will be fests every year in the campus each Department would have different fests (Both Technical and cultural) apart form these fests there will be grand College day celebrations many hostel nights. You can enjoy a lot grand celebrations are held on College day where many students from other colleges are also invited there will a cultural Night which is full entertaining.

Fee structure is feasible. It is 15000 per semester this is very less when compared to other colleges if you are gate qualified you would get 12000 rs/- every month as stipend. So 15000 for six months doesn't feel like a burden at all. If you are selected as sponsored candidate then your fee would be 30000/- per semester. This is also fine as most other colleges would charge around 50000 for sponsored candidates.

Gate qualified students will be getting 12000rs scholarship every month for 24 months previously it was 8000 as this year it is increased to 12000. But attendance is mandatory for getting this stipend i am not aware of other scholarships. But there will be many other scholarships depending upon your economic status and parent's occupation.

There is a good amount of diversity in the university the gender ratio is a good fraction here there is no harassment or pressure for students in the campus there will be fests every year in the campus each Department would have different fests (Both Technical and cultural) apart form these fests there will be grand College day celebrations many hostel nights you can enjoy a lot.

The hostel fee including the mess fee is around 2500 rs the hostel buildings are old but good depending upon the size of the room the sharing number differs but minimum its 5 members the mess food will be okay (eatable) the mess fee is charged only for the days you eat in the mess so you can happily eat outsides sometimes.

There is an alumni website for all the old jntua students during my M.Tech there were get-together for 15 years back passed outs during those get together's, the currently studying students are made to interact the old students and any career related queries would be answered even the website is also helpful.

You will have two internal examinations followed by Final Examinations in the first and second semesters you will have 6 subjects and 1 laboratory practical as the course subjects for each theory subject you will have one examination and for the laboratory subject you will have practical exam you will have an internal and later external practical examination followed by Viva In the Second Year you will have project reviews with your Guide and Head Of the Department.

Through AP-PGECET Counselling you can get into the university. AT first you will be called to a center for certificate verification. After that there is web counselling and and you need to fill your options of colleges in the AP-PGECET website. There would be clear instructions in the website regarding filling the options of your preference. Then After you fill the preference list, based upon your rank you will be allocated a college. You have to Report to the college on the date given in the allocation letter.

Most of the Senior Faculty in our college are P.HD holders all the junior Faculty in our college are PG qualified i.e (M.Tech) they would guide you but you need to focus more in order to get depth of the subject following Faculty itself is not enough there is a need for Self- focus and Self-analysis. But Faculty are very helpful and they guide you in everything they are always ready for clearing doubts.
