Not best but still quite a better choice

This college is not UpTo the level of the top IITs and NITs but I'm sure that after them it is best as Low fees, Good education And other facilities so it is not the best but still a better choice.

UPSEE 2016, Score 452/600. It is the top college of UPSEE and mechanical is a good branch. Admissions here is mainly through UPSEE till 2016 But now i.e. 2017 and onwards it will be via JEE mains. But still there are some quotas like for Jammu & Kashmir students , NRI quota ,etc.

Here the course curriculum is quite good.The design of course as compared to other colleges for B.tech students is better here. The subjects here in 1st semester in B tech Mechanical engineering are: Mechanics, Engineering Physics, Maths, Professional Communication.

I do not know much about it but I have heard it that yes . Many of our seniors have got internships in various fields and companies. Like one of my senior whom I know got an internship for 45 days in a chemical company in Thailand.

Here the campus placement is good . About 70℅ and above placement occurs here but still HBTI doesn't get the placement as per it's name.So still average placement is low I.e. about 3-4 lakh per annum for Mechanical Engineering. And the highest placement in mechanical is also very less like UpTo 7 lakhs only. So the campus placement matters a lot and it is not UpTo the mark here

There are many events celebrated in our college like Mecharnival - organized by mechanical branch each year. I think it is the best one. Odyssey: it is the one college fest of HBTI Kanpur organized each year. Technocrats- fest organized by electronics and electrical students.

The fees here is quite low as it is a govt college it is just 58230 INR. The entrire fees for the year has to be submitted at time of admission by cash or DD. According to me it is the best feasible college with less fees quality education and good placement. So there is no burden on parents too for the students from average family backgrounds.

Yes, the scholarship provided by state government is availed to all the students with annual family income less than 3 lakhs. Many students each year fill forms and they do get Rs. 60000 in a year for general.

Here the campus life is good . Here seniors are of helping nature , of course initially they behave strictly and ask for your intro. Having good contact with seniors will get you easy access to the notes and other informations. The gender ratio in core branches like Mecharnical, civil, electrical is quite low as one girl out of 10 boys. But in CSE branch it is average. In oil& paint technology, leather, chemical and other branches it is quite good. Different workshops are organized for students in the college like robotics workshops and others Various events of sports are organized very frequently on college level and in state level . The winners are rewarded. The other competitions also like debate , extempore, group discussion and many others are. Organized and there is huge participation

The mess food is good here . We have a mess secretary one of us appointed for a month and he along with the choice of other students and mess staff prepares the menu for a week and it is followed as well. In my view here Hostel is far better than PG in first year

The seniors of college initially are somewhat strict as they asks your intro( for first year students) but after interaction they are very helpful in providing easy access to notes ,events and other information about college. The alumni association of college is also very good and widespread and often alumni meets are held in the college.

Exam structure is good as it is autonomous so u have to focus on the classroom studies. Try to attend the classroom maximum so that no n problems in exams. Also along with class you should also visit the library for some of the concepts. Here in each semester two class room tests for theory and practical are conducted and after that semester exam for theory and practicals.

In second week of June 2016 there was a notice on UPSEE website about counselling. I read that and on 22/06/2016 I made the payment of counselling fees i.e. Rs.20000 online and then we have to go to document verification centers as per instructions on UPSEE website. There our documents(required documents mentioned on the website) were verified and then further rounds of counselling like this were conducted and after the counselling results, we have to either freeze our seat , cancel , or freeze with upgrade . After freezing the seats we have to report to the institute on the date mentioned and there again we have to take all the required documents(as mentioned on college website) and money in form of DD or cash. There on the mentioned date your admission will done. Here in my case I brought all of these and money in cash for admission in the college. Here the administration is cooperative and faculty also helps a lot( how to fill the required forms and others) during the time of admission.

The faculty of college in adminstrative department is very non cooperative for students. They talk irresponsibly and are always irritating. But the teaching faculty is quite good , responsible and caring as my experience in first year. The teachers are good and teach well. They will take help you if you go to them.
