Remarks

Firstly, the college offers various Undergraduate courses at a very reliable price. Secondly, there are no such tough entrance exams only moderate marks in +2 is required to get admission. Thirdly, it is a government college so holidays are given for every occasion which can be utilized for someone who also works part time.

Course Curriculum Overview

All the professors are helpful and make us understand the subject in a very different mode with real-life examples. The syllabus of the course was up to the mark.Quality education is provided by qualified teachers. The course curriculum is good for pursuing CA.

Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements are moderate here, and companies like TCS,Wipro and Rupa recruit students for internships. Very few students are placed but with a good salary package.The highest packages offered is around 5 Lacs and the lowest package varies around 2 Lacs.

College Events

We didn't have a campus life to be honest. No big fests are organised in our college. However some small fests are organized by the student council and communities and few colleges participate. College needs more development in the field of organising fests and cultural activities.

Campus Life

Our college has a small computer lab with only 10 computers, but it has a huge library which is updated with all new books timely. The college has enough spacious classrooms. Hostel facilities are not available as of now. It also has a canteen that offers food items at affordable rate.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects of the curriculum which really influenced my decision was building the foundation of accounting to holding expertise, which was aligned with my goal of studying CA. The curriculum used to be upto date which give us a real time exposure. The exam used to take place in every 3 months.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
