My college

Our college has the proud of its existence since 1881. It is the best college in Madurai. The complete infrastructure and the standard of the syllabus are really amazing and are very useful for many research aspirants. The admission is available online. The college holds lots of credits and credentials at present. The sports and the various aspects of learning are available. It is an autonomous college. The library of it holds a huge number of books in various disciplines. I am proud to be a student of my college.

I have a dream of persuing my doctorate on ornithology. For a better base I have chosen zoology and from which I can move on with different disciplines. Basically I am a wanderer. Actually the faculty and the student relationship is merely too friendly. The faculties there are all qualified with NET and posses a doctorate in different fields. Our principal Dr. Davamani Christopher holds two doctorates one in maths and the other in psychology. The examinations are conducted once in 6 months and in the intermediatory course there will continous assessments and internals (2 per sem). It was not tough to pass as the staffs are good at teaching. So if we learn all the topics related to the syllabus it will be fine

The students are eligible from the 5 th semester to attend the campus placements. Many companies come for placements in our college and our college is in collaboration with Concordia University. Nearly 45% of the students are getting placed depending on their ability and skills. If skilled then we have placements for sure.

As this college is aided by the Government we have very minimal fees so it is affordable even by the middle class and free education is provided for the students who couldn't afford to pay. The motto of the college is Purificatus nonconsumptive. So it is very moral. The government offers scholarships for all minorities.

In the month of February the department of zoology, the American College conducts an annual fest called the Zoofest. All the other departments conduct various programs in Feb and March. We have NSS and NCC in our college which performs various social tasks. We have SLP also. Each and every department in the college has more than 2 clubs and every department has a seperate association. Each department has a departmental library and a common library is available even during the nonworking days. The classrooms are lit good and the experience inside the college will be like heaven.
