Remarks
Bangalore as a location was my primary factor to select nmims. Even in my application form I wrote Bangalore as the preferred location. My cousin suggested me as there is a lot more opportunity in Bangalore than at other cities for freshers. Other important factor was the Brand Image of NMIMS. It's one of the top most private management institution in India and even my Uncle (Who did his MBA from IIMB) suggested it.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course syllabus is very relevant. You don't only study BBA here but taxation and banking are also important areas which are covered here. A wide variety of subjects covers all the portion it takes to understand how the corporate world works. Faculty ranges from mediocre to very good. A shout out to Hari sir who is without a doubt the best teacher of marketing.
Placement Experience
Most of the students opt for MBA instead of job after college that's why the placement percentage is low. We get all the major companies like Wipro, Infosis, Lowe's etc which comes to our campus for placement.
College Events
I was one of the lucky ones who was in the committee for the very first fest which was organized by the college. That must be the best part about it because almost every student tries to contribute something which gives a sense of belongingness and you also get a lot of hands on experience on how to get sponsors and about project management.
Campus Life
Infrastructure is better than that of main campus in Mumbai. Library offers course related material and fiction books too and the wifi speed is very fast (around 150mbps). Infrastructure of NMIMS Bangalore is very good and the environment is good for studying too.
Hostel Facilities
I opted for hostel in the first year of my college. They provide you with basic amenities i.e. beds, fans, cleaning staff and food. But other than that we got tv, washing machine, refridgerator and a microwave too which was pretty good. The hostel is a bit on the expensive side of things but it is value for money.
