Good in terms facilities of university available such as lib, wifi, swimming pool etc pu wifi is legendary in terms of its speed and no limits bad in terms of paperwork which takes months to go through increasing fees to study.

AIEEE 2012 and I choose bE EEE because my father wanted me to not choose CSE and it was the only available course.

Course is difficult than other engineering it needs knowledge of almost every type of engineering and contains many different complex subjects. Research is not done by bachelor student but by master's student. the course is divided in 8 SEM with each sem till 6th sen have 5 theory subs and 4 practicals. Each week contains 3 lectures for each subjects.

Not really we have to find our own internship if anyone need any internship. Training and placement cell of quiet is not that active in terms of training and student often there training themselves.

Placement is average as many companies come to quiet but the jobs are average most of my classmates are already placed with some jobs but the jobs were mass recruitment by companies like Infosys and by some local companies from Chandigarh.with package average mostly around 350k's per annum.

Technical fests, aagman electrical, efficars mechanical cultural, gooonj this combined with fresher's for newcomers by seniors and other fresher's by various groups of students faction . Tech fest are good experience for students to learn and cultural are just average.

Fee structure have now changed and increasing every year and students are often in strikes because of faculty not doing good enough to gather money from state government and central government and often have been accused of fraud in funds and then casually increase the fees. Examination fees was 1700 in my 1st yeah which is now 2500 and semester fees were 39k and 23.5 k for 2 sems now 42.6k and 27 k.

Scholarship in UIET is for financially weak students and is difficult for them to afford the course scholarship by government bodies and hostel scholarship of 10k for schedule tribe student having there parents earning less than 100000 per year.

Hostels are the best feature of Punjab university as they're cheap in terms of rent and the food as a normal diet costing only 35 these days but the total number of seats in hostel are very few fir uiet and the construction of new hostels are not taking place for boys because of lack of funds mess and canteen have food available for almost all day to 10 at night with heavy food to snacks.

Not really I knew only a handful of seniors and there help towards you is different by each person every senior in uiet have different opinions in terms of helping juniors and most of them keeping it to themselves rather than to talk to others.

100 marks for a subject are divided in 3parts 50 for external with final exams 30 for mid term exams which takes place twice for a semester and choose with best marks and 20 marks by the teacher assigned to teach you the subject .20 marks can be given on the basis of the various things teacher will give you assignment, tests, mcq etc practicals takes place 1 a week and final takes place rather casually you just need to create a file and attend enough classes to clear it.

I filled JAC Chandigarh form and the counseling take place online I got the seat in final and choose EE in the manual round of counseling on third round I got computer science but I wanted something different so I choose electrical and electronics engineering in manual round.

Main teaching faculty are really good with there knowledge and teaching experience but the guest faculty in quiet who come to take few classes or labs are not that good and are often hard to find when needed . Most of the teachers don't know guest faculty and don't have contact number o them office faculty of quiet are the worst they come late and never tell you enough about anything. You will never know the rules of university because they will never tell you about it they are arrogant and will fight with you rater than helping you.
