Entrance Preview
JEE Mains my score was 100 and in Gujarat Board exam my average was 75%. I opted for this college because it is in top 10 college of Gujarat and the oldest engineering college of Gujarat.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college has received now autonomy and therefore it is an autonomous institute where each course is uniquely designed. The course is designed newly according to the latest technologies which is required in this competitive environment and is industrial based.Thus it is better and more practical related.
Internships Opportunities
Yes. The companies mainly are TCS, L&T. They take many students from our college as internships and many students go on their own to do internships. The stipend is nearly 20 thousand per month.Overall experience is also good.
Placement Experience
The placement ratio is excellent. Mainly recruiters are TCS , L&T, Cap Gemini, Crest, Evosys, GNFC, and many others . TCS took 86, Cap Gemini 40-45, Crest 4-5 and L & T around 10 . L& T took 25 students nearly last year.So the placement records are awesome in this college.
College Events
There are many events conducted by BVM. Some are Udan, Know How , Xitij, Fusion, Matrix, Volcano etc the participants is good enough in bigs events where students come from all over Gujarat to visit and win different events of different departments of college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is 1500/- for the government seats, 1,07,000 for self financed and for NRI 2500 to 3500 dollars. So if your merit rank is high then you can get admission on government seats which is very feasible but if the rank is good then you avail the Sfi seats which is little bit expensive.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship is mainly of backward class. There is one scholarship which is MYSY but it is not of the college, it is of the government of Gujarat which is given to the students above 80 percentile and limited amount of annual income of family.
Campus Life
The campus is the oldest in whole Gujarat as it was started in 1948. The college groups like IEEE, ISTE, IEI, ACE etc conducts many useful workshops related to the latest trends in different technologies. The gender ratio is quite ok in Computer,IT, Electronics branch but not in mechanical and Civil.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel here will give you the Z - TRAINING. If you can leave here you can leave anywhere! There is no mess in the college hostel. But there are many hostels nearby so you can take admissions there. College hostel fee is around 17 thousands per annum and nearby hostel rates are around 30 thousands including food bill.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes the best alumni is the chairman of L&T Mr A M Niak the seniors here are good and co operative in nature. They are helpful in many ways in all the directions in our college life.
Exam Structure
The exam structure is very good and the level of questions also up to the mark . There are 2 mid semester exams and one external exam of 70 marks the mid semester is of 30 marks which is the average of two mid semester exams and practical exams / viva total is of 50 marks.
Admission
My admission was done in management quota through CVM merit. The admissions are also done through ACPC committee. My ACPC merit rank was 5211 and I wanted to opt for only computer branch or information technology. So I was in the cutoff rank of this college and I was selected.
Faculty
Up to the mark. The faculty of Mechanical and Civil is the best in whole Gujarat I would definitely say because it has the faculty that has experience of more than 30 years. The faculty of Computer and other branches are also good. The faculty here is well experienced as this college is the first engineering college in the whole Gujarat.
