Remarks
OMC is the best college for medical education in Telangana as it has nearly ten hospitals affiliated to it which increases clinical exposure and also has the best faculty. I've always wanted to be a doctor and OMC is the top priority for any medical aspirant.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our batch is the last one to be under the old curriculum. I heard they've brought many changes now that helps students have more practical exposure. It's a bit difficult for us when we go for postings to the hospitals as the doctors there are our professors. So we'd have proper classes in the hospitals depending on the department (the number of staff they have).
Placement Experience
Ours is a medical college so we dont have anything like placements. But OMC has a great reputation and if you're a doctor from OMC you definitely have more opportunities.
College Events
We have two major events 1) OSMECON - which is an international medical conference. It's held for 3 days during which various medical related seminars, workshops and competitions are held. 2) BEATS - This is a fest and is held for a week. Includes cultural events and competitions and is so much fun. Our college also holds several other events like the fresher's party, gratitude party and some festivals are celebrated too.
Campus Life
We have an amazing campus now. Our principal has definitely put so much interest on the infrastructure. The library's good but can be better. There's no problem finding journals but the number of copies of books available definitely need to increase. The labs need a drastic upgrade in terms of equipments.
