Best college in Chhattisgarh.

I took CGPET entrance exam & scored 957 rank. I opt for BIT Durg because it is the best college of Chhattisgarh & my parents didnt want me to go out of my native for study. BIT Durg was also near by my home & I heard a lot about this college. faculties, Infrastructure of the college, Discipline, Extra curricular activites all were very good in this college.

I opt for Computer science & engineering that time it was the boom branch. It was the semester system, 1st two semester we have to learn the subjects from all the branches only the basic subjects & from 3rd semester onwards the main core subjects like C, C++, ADA, OS etc was in the curriculum.

No, College doesn't provide internship at the time I was studying. But they should provide internship because it is the well known college of the state.

At the time I was studying the placement was not 100%. On my super senior batch the placement was 100% because that time TCS hired around 200 students. But in my time TCS hired only 50 students & they offered 3.1 LPA. other then TCS for CSE there 2-3 small companies also came & for other core branches TASL, Lafarge cement etc companies came & offered around 4 LPA only.

Earlier when I joined the college from every branch there was a event and that occurs frequently in the state level. It was fun. But after 3rd year management found it is a waste of time so from that time onwards college use to organised one cultural fest & technical fest once in a year in the national level. Around 2000+ participants use to come from all over the India.

Fee structure was 24K per semester only the tutuion fee at my time. But now I have heard the semester fees ha been increased upto 40k in 3 years. I dont know about the hoste & mess fees because I was the day schollar. That fee structure was decided by the University.

I have not taken any loan neither i got any scholarship thats why I dont have any idea about this. May be someone has taken loan or got scholarship.

Gender ratio was 65:35 for boys girls It depends on the branch. In CSE the ratio was equal But in the branch like mechanical & civil girl students had the lesser ratio. Workshops & labs were good in the college with proper facilities. Parties used to organised like freshers parties & farewell parties. Sports,Robotics, Debates all were good in our college.

In our college hostel was in a wide area, there was enough room. for 1st year students there was a different hostel area. For boys the hostel was inside the college campus & for girls it was outside the college campus in a safe area with security. Mess food i have heard was not that good it was average.

For Alumni we have a group in facebook & Whatsapp for proper communication & they help us in any query. While in college senior students were also very helpful for providing the guidance on exams, labs, notes etc. After the college also the student who was not placed in the college, senior helps student to get placed.

Exam structure was normal. 6 subjects per semester & 3-4 lab subjects in every semester. Daily 1 lab subjects was there in the time table. It was sometime hectic & sometime chilled out. In lab we have to maintain the file or projects for the rating. Theory subjects exam was of 80 marks 28 was the paasing. Total 1000 marks was there out if which 480 marks of theory subject & 520 marks of sessional including lab marks, class test marks.

I have given CGPET entrance exam & scored rank under 1000. The admission process was done by counselling. This college was closed by around 1500th rank & I took computer science & engg. The admission process was not so difficult. At the time of counselling & selecting seats for the particular branch we provided the last date of the admission. We have to go to the college & do the admission.

Faculties were good in our college. Some were done PHD in there subjects, some were M.tech, Some were pursuing M.Tech. Some teacher teach us 2-3 subjects in different semesters. that means teachers had the capability to teach more then one subject at a time.
