Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology is one of the top 10 engineering institutions in the city Hyderabad. Moreover the teaching staff are very knowledgeable and the infrastructure is very good. Also the placements department in VJIT is very promising and they've managed to bring few top MNCs to placement drive in the recent past years.

The courses are very well updated but they don't reach the industry standard these days. This is not the Institution's fault but it's all about the guidelines providers. However, VJIT being an Autonomous institution, they have some relaxation to their guidelines set by the JNTUH and have been working sincerely in the courses updation to make education more better and student friendly.

Some of the top companies visit Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology to hire students. Most of the jobs offered are related to software students where even other branch students are eligible to participate. The companies that visit conduct few screening tests for the students. The screen tests include aptitude tests and then programming language related tests. Students who pass the tests held are then finally eligible for personal interview. Students who pass the interview sessions are finally placed into the companies. To prepare the students for the interviews, the placement department in the campus conducts various mock tests for the students in the campus.

Campus life is not so beautiful as shown in films. Since, VJITs motto is to bring the best education, there are very few cultural activities held in the campus. There are mainly three events that take place in the campus annually. Tech-fest, cultural-fest and Annual day. Once in a while hackathons are held in the campus. The college ground is not so huge so they can capacitate students around 1000 at a time. So, incase there is a huge fest in the college, the event becomes so over-crowded. So, most of the students prefer not attending the evnets.

The Telangana state government provides scholarship for deserved candidates. Depending on the reservation quota they come under, the scholarships are availed.

Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology is a type of institution which gives more importance to education. So, the infrastructure is very good and the libraries are well maintained. Coming to the labs, the labs are very well updated and they are given utmost importance in the campus. The equipment are very new and very few equipment might fall faulty, but the management looks over it very quickly. Sports are not given so much importance in the campus. However, students willing to join any sport can take part after the college hours but still very few take part because there is no transportation facility after the college hours. Students who are willing to take part in sports must take their own responsibility for transportation. While students who are not interested can board the college buses after the college ends. Students who practice their favorite sports are given opportunities to represent the college in inter college tournaments held once in a while.

The college doesn't provide any residence to the students. Students can rent beds in hostels. The average rentals for hostel per person is around Rs.1500 a month. However, no student prefers to stay in the hostels as they are very unhygienic and the basic needs are barely met.
