Remarks

College experience is fantastic, they can improve though in hostel, mess quality and also stress should be laid more on extra curricular activities for overall personality development of student.

Entrance Preview

I took CAT entrance examination and I scored 98.04 percentile. I opted for this particular college because it was under top 10 in India and also the best for Supply Chain Stream in India. I am interested in doing masters in Supply Chain Management, and I could not get any better platform than this.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course structure is light, not much pressure on students we have 7 modules in 2 years. Each module has 6 subjects for which students are required to give midterms, end terms and assignments for each of them. Amongst these 7 modules, 1 module is reserved for summer internship process. So, 3 modules are there in first year, then Summer module (4th) and the later 3 in second year.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, our college provides internship the average stipend is 68000 per year. I did my summer internship in General Mills, Mumbai and the experience was awesome. I learnt so many things, applied theory to practical, interacted with superiors and due to my extra ordinary performance, I was also awarded the pre placement offer.

Placement Experience

4.5

There are approximate 250 students in PGDIM batch and all of them are placed in maximum 2 weeks. Companies form different sectors visit NITIE, some FMCGs, banks, consulting, ecommerce, automobiles, marketing, et average placement in NITIE is 16.80 lakhs per annum. Highest last year was Amazon with 37 lakhs per annum. Every year various new companies visit and give their offerings.

College Events

4

There are various events conducted in NITIE. B-school fest conducted is Avartan, Cultural fest is Arohan. Many dignitaries visit our campus in these fest and its one of the biggest fest in Mumbai. Many case study competitions are held and students from different b schools across India participate in the competitions ans prizes worth lakhs are rewarded to winners and runner ups.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is quite low in comparison to other B schools in India total fee for both the years is 8.40 lakhs. It is feasible and not at all expensive looking placements in perspective the best ROI student can ask for. Fee have to be paid by students annually. 4.19 in 1st year and 4.2 in 2nd year, in any form- cash, DD, netbanking etc. Loan facilities are also provided for the students who cannot afford.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, students are offered loan as well as scholarship facility scholarship is provided to those who are financially weak as well as who scored the highest loan facility is given to anyone who applies for it.

Campus Life

4.5

Gender ratio is quite low 1:10 since only engineering students are eligible to pursue this course in NITIE. Campus is also called God's own campus owing to its location and nature beauty. Campus is located amidst the lush greenery in Powai, Mumbai. Students from all parts of India study here which brings a good diversity factor in NITIE. All the sports are played here and competition called 'Josh' is also conducted (intercollege) and 'Jest' (intracollege) Debates, singing, dancing, dramatics, music instruments.. all these competitions are taken place and colleges from all over India participate.

Hostel Facilities

4

Mess food tastes average but it has a lot of variety. Rs 125 is taken per day and 4 times a day food is given, breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. Mess bill has to be paid every month failing which fine is taken hostels are okay, attached bathroom for girls. 1 room for 2 girls and size is medium (not too big not too small). Everyday cleaning happens by maid. The hostel fee is accommodated in the total college fees. No extra payment has to be made.

Alumni/Alumna

We have a portal where alumni are connected and also on specific intervals, alums are called for interaction with students. Interaction with alums is always very beneficial, their experience helps shape our career.

Exam Structure

Exams were chilled out. Students are aware of basic course outline and we make notes in every class, so we perform well. Approximately 70 percent students score above 8.0 CGPA. For every module, only midterms and end terms happen. Labs are not very frequent, there is no hectic schedule. Saturday and Sunday is leave and on the weekdays, classes are from 9:30am to 5 pm.

Admission

I cleared the cutoff for the marks required to enter NITIE. Post this, I filled the form for NITIE that came somewhere in November and I was called for GDPI process. I was interviewed and Group discussion took place, it was not an elimination process. I did well in both, and after a month, results were declared. I was selected for the program I opted and classes commenced form June onwards. Overall administration was good, though result declaration was delayed.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college is pretty experienced, and student friendly. We can go to their cabin asking for our doubts any time we want every faculty is designated for their particular course every faculty gives assignment and explain it in detail. There may be some guest faculty too depending on the subject, but we can always go to senior teachers for any queries.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.
