Great experience.

Well My college lacked the infra but it had good teachers and very good students we got lot of time for discussions and that made me what I am today so i will be thankful to my college.

We didn't had entrance exam at that time i joined because I was an Arts student and it was one of the arts college in Jammu. We had separate college for Science and Commerce streams. Another reason was that one of my friends was also in the that college.

It was ok but I guess if there would be only one subject and not three , I guess students would do better, Apart from that it was more of theory and less of practicals. like in literature we were just reading , novels m poetry but we never performed on any play and were not trained on creative writing.

No our college was not into that , though I use to work on my own in a departmental store after college timings i use to get Rs 1000/- a month for an 8 hour shift. It may sound less now but it was enough in 1995.

There was nothing known as placements at that point of time. Especially our college was government arts college and we never heard that companies would come and place us. Infact even we never tight about career that much. During college days the only thing we thought about was joining the university and nothing else.

It will again be a disappointing detail as we never had any event in our college. there were few sports event but as my sport was squash and it was not in college so I never took part in any event infact there were no events to talk about. yes few strikes college elections bit nothing much.

Well as government college it was nothing. So we were not paying a huge sum of money but as the fees were so was the infrastructure we had a very minimal infra and we never got the best in our college not even a good canteen or good stadium . the only entertainment was the long discussions with friends.

As the fee structure was very well in reach there was no need of any scholarship and loans. Infact the we hardly paid anything i even don't remember the fee. I wish with low fee we could have good better facilities.

It was a boys college so there was nothing like gender ratio. There was a lot of talk about the other gender but it was only bots we use to see. Yes for a change we use to go to our university which was very nearby to see the other gender / At that time all our colleges were either boys college if girls college there was no co-education at that point of time.

I was not in hostel but our hostels were not that good and that was the reason when i had stay away from parents I chose a room outside hostel. Hostel was within the campus of college and I tried couple of times and it was ok , it was not that too bad.

I don;t see much of the alumni network, yes I have few friends from my college which are still my friends. Though it was a nice time and enjoyed my college very much.

Exam structure which I never liked. We had annual exams 10 questions from 5 units and we had to do only 5. Write long answers and we even don't know what we were writing it was two subjective and failed to get best out of the students and it was only about who can write more and how fast.

In those times admission was not that a difficult process and I had good percentage so it was not a difficult task for me. I went there with my father and and took the admission form and that then i started thinking which subject to choose and finally i chose the combination with English Literature, Economics and Psychology. I thought that these subjects would be good for me and I will learn a lot.

We there were some good some bad . I will mention the good ones . We had a very good professor in literature Mr Chibber . he was very good and had a very good command on his language. he was very expressive too. Our Psychology teacher was also very good and always helped us to understand the subject in a better way. and My favourite teacher Prof Satnam Kaur , she was very helpful and very expressive.
