The utmost reason to join DAV college was its academic excellence and d most knowledgeable and experienced staff; also the decorum nd discipline maintained in the campus. Admission is purely based on merit, Some seats are reserved for the single girl child. Sports category etc. After submitting the admission form; the interview is arranged. College does provide the necessary amount of scholarship to the poor ones. Admission schedule is totally dependent upon d guidelines by Panjab University.

I have a keen interest in commerce and economics that's why I chose this stream and no other college in the nearby localities can provide such an excellent knowledge about this field that is offered by the DAV collegian facilities. For every 25-30 students, there is 1 teacher (i think so ). All the faculty members are well qualified with jrf net in different fields plus they also have deep knowledge and experience in their field. Before the semester exams college do conduct mid sem tests (MST) so that students can prepare well and can judge their strengths and weaknesses timely

Students become eligible for placement in the final year. MNCs do Visit college and arrange interviews to select the potential candidates for jobs. Companies that visited are WIPRO TCS etc. Students got placement as per their calibre and confidence rather than marks.

Fee Structure is according to the guidelines issued by Panjab University and the decision by the board of management. The scholarship is granted to the poor and needy ones by the college as well as the NGOs and the scholarship schemes at the central level. B.com costs approx 85000 for 3 years excluding books and all. Fees are hiked only if P.U calls for it

Talent hunt is conducted annually in which various kinds of competition are arranged to search for talent hidden inside the students. The selected students are further sent for youth fest at the state level. You can find almost all the books in the library accessed to all. Classrooms do have required furniture and ventilation system. NSS and NCC camps are organised. Yoga teams are there which have even won the titles at national levels. Sports activities and sports meet are arranged regularly at required intervals
