After 12th class i gave examination IIT JEE and secured rank 1083,Since IIT Delhi is No. 1 college of India so choice was pretty easy for me. At this rank the best course you can get is Chemical Engineering in IIT Delhi Admission.

50 days of Industrial Internship is mandatory in IIT Delhi after 3rd year. Various reputed companies come for giving Intership, at my time stipend was about 10000 per month.

All world's biggest company come to IIT D for placement. IIT Delhi placement gets started in the month of December for final year students, Each student can secure one job. Approximately 100 companies for each department are available for students every type (IT, Consulting, NGO, Core Sector etc) of Companies are available for every students normally each and every students get placed average package is about 10L per year, starting from 6-7LPA to 1Cr PA.

There are 13 hostels, 11 boys, 2 girls. Hostels are well maintained if you talk about security, 24 hrs clean water, internet, electricity availability. In my time I got sharing room with one for First and Second year after that I got the the single room. Food Quality is ok types, don't expect anything good there.

IIT Delhi have as its alumni a group of over 43,000 engineers, technologists, scientists, managers and entrepreneurs. The Institute, in its endeavour to strengthen the link with the alumni, has set an Alumni Office consisting of a dedicated team of staff members and by Professors. IIT Delhi Alumni Network is very strong and are very helpful.

Exam Pattern: Minor Test 1 (weightage ~ 15% to 25% ), Minor Test 2 (weightage ~ 15% to 25% ), Major Exam (weightage ~ 30% to 50% ) Others (Assignment, Surprise Test, Quiz Lab, Attendance etc.) (weightage ~ 0% to 25% ) IITD's exam process is very hectic and testing, generally they reserve continuous four days for all 6-8 courses.

The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) is a common admission test for students seeking admission to undergraduate programmes of all IITs and ISM Dhanbad. To be eligible to write JEE (Advanced), the candidates have to first appear in the JEE (Main) conducted by JEE Apex Board, in the month of April.
