A new journey.

The management is lax and slow the college can improve on that front. The classes get delayed and sometimes when the classes are cancelled the students are not informed.

I did not take any such entrance exam since I knew I wanted to pursue this course as it is aligned to the future goals I want to achieve. The college gives on the basis of merit followed by an interview by the head of the department. After this the final admission list is released.

The course structure is extensive and field based. All subjects are related to the field of commerce that can be utilised by students later on. In the first year the students are taught subjects from the financial as well as marketing field. In the second year the students are supposed to chose a specialisation.

The college has a placement cell which I haven't gone to yet since the college has just started some time back.

It is yet to be found out since it's only my first year. But from what I though my seniors the placements aren't that good. The college boasts of companies like axis bank, Uber, Exide etc. Even though internships thtogh college take time there are a few who get internship within a few days itself.

There are various societies for sports, literature, drama, debate and so on. For which participations is open to all. The college holds events like sports meets and fests that take place on a inter-college level. The students also take part in fests and competitions in other colleges and are encouraged for the same.

For self financed courses like Bcom and mcom the fees are comparatively higher as compared to university courses like ma and ba courses which are very feasible. ]

The financial facility is available only for reserved category students. The students can approach the administration in case of an emergency. The fees are yearly and gave to be paid at the beginning of every year.

The college is an all girl's college. There are fresher's and farwells. The college does conduct sports meets and is active on the extracurricular front which gets decent response from the students too. There is a famest where are proceeds are donated to an orphanage. Ayushmann Khurana and like come for the annual college fest which is one of the best in Calcutta.

PG's range from Rs 5000 to Rs 12000 or more based on the locality and preferences of the student. The food is generally provided by the PG owners. there are hostel facilities available too which have started from this year itself. It is an all girl's hostel with an all female staff.

Senior students are helpful. They provide you with notes and exams papers of previous years and are very approachable.

Exams are yearly as per the Calcutta university standard. They also have internal exams before the final exams. These are of 10 marks only while the finals are of 50 marks which are converted to 40 and in the end total score of 50 is used. That's two exams in a year so it is chilled.

The admission process is fairly hassel free. The admission procedure of filling up admission forms and fee payment for the same takes place online as well as offline. Following which the cut off list is released based on merit only. The selected students are then called for an interview. Those students who passes these two stages are then called to fulfill admission formalities like fee payment after which the process is complete.

Mostly the faculty is knowledgeable and know the subject. There are some who aren't that great but over all the faculty is good. Also they are helpful when it comes to doubts and encourage interaction in class. The professor's are usually present that is very less absenteeism when it comes to the faculty. All in all the faculty is good mostly but the standards can be raised higher.
