Remarks
The admission process for bachelors in dental was based on the NEET exam which is an all India entrance exam for any medical course from the government college. 50% marks from the 12th result and 50% marks of the NEET result decides the admission chance out of 40 students taken annually. The rank on your NEET exam decides whether you will be considered in the first list of the admission or the third. After the declaration of results we need to fill up the applicant form from the All India Pre-Dental Entrance Examination Unit. The course is 5 years long and completely government oriented making the fees minimal. You can apply through the management quota too but they are high priced.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very well laid out to teach concepts related to Dental Sciences. The course curriculum is also somewhat related to recent trends and innovations making it fresh rather than being outdated. The labs and exams are more in this course and thus made me feel slightly hectic at the end of the day.
Placement Experience
There are no placement and job opportunities in a Dental Sciences college but the course curriculum has an internship component. But the college does not help in getting an internship and it is up to the students to find an internship with a good stipend.
Fees and Financial Aid
Bachelor of Dental Sciences has a fee structure that is not as expensive as that for an MBBS course but still, it is a little bit expensive than other science courses. But the fee structure was quite feasible in this college.
Campus Life
Even though a Dental Sciences college, there is quite some focus on extracurricular activities making sure that students gain some extracurricular knowledge rather than just book knowledge. There is no diversity in any form in the college and the students are very friendly.
