Remarks
GITAM is a reputed college in Andhra Pradesh established some 30 years ago. Got suggestions that this is one of the best for aerospace engineering in private colleges. Though the course was good the fee charged is too high.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculties are good and some of them are really good with teaching techniques. Most of them are friendly. Faculty to student ratio is 1:2, the advantage is we get personal attention. Exams are a moderate level.
Internships Opportunities
No internship was offered from the university. Though it was there in the curriculum. We had to arrange for it by ourselves. The internship was credit-based, so we had presentations on what we learnt through it.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements from 3rd-year 2nd semester. No backlogs students are eligible to appear for placements drive. Average package is nearly 5 LPA. But placements can be made much better by making tie-up with core companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
During the academic year, the fee was 2.25 lacs per annum, which has now been hiked to 3 lacs. Very fewer Campus placements in core jobs. There is no financial assistance provided. Cost of study is too high compared to the course provided.
Campus Life
Campus life is very good. Infrastructure is nice too. One can literally see full greenery on the campus. A lot of free space and away from city pollution. Tech and the cultural fest is performed every year in the mon of Feb.
Interview Experience
Yes, we were trained for the placements for which we had to pay the amount to the TnP cell. The training was on par with any competitive exams. This had helped me a lot in improving my vocabulary and confidence during interviews.
