Remarks
This college is one of the biggest and top college of North East India with an enrollment of 4900 students indulging Undergraduate and Postgraduate, there also lots of fun and activities in this college unlike many colleges in India, Spring Fest is one of the biggest events of this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose to take up history honours and there again 6 honours including science, commerce and BBA. The faculty here all have persuaded there M.Pil and PhD. There are 4 exams in one semester and it the end Semester exam is conducted on the month of April and October.
Internships Opportunities
There are no specific roles offer by the company because the company don't come in compulsory purpose instead it comes on rotation wise. The projects in this college are solely taken up the college management and no company comes here when comes to taking up projects.
Placement Experience
From the 1at semester, the student is eligible to take admissions here. Companies like Reliance, Tata and Amazon come here to take the review. There are chances of 60% of students getting placements. I'm planning to join JNU Delhi for higher studies in future to opt for my PhD.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees here are cheaper then any other colleges also, many low classes take up here admission mostly because it is cheap and as well as affordable there is no much hike of fees in the Semester. Scholarship from Central and state are received both, the topper is given metal based on their merits and plus with a scholarship from government schemes.
Campus Life
Spring Fest the biggest event is conducted in the month of March. All kinds of books and materials are available in the library if it's not available then we can give a slip to the Liberian to bring the book and its available with 4 days. There are only one college sports and is conducted in November.
Hostel Facilities
There one men's hostel which can accommodate 300 boys and 3 girls hostel each carrying 90 students. The registration for a hostel is taken up while taking up admissions in the college. And also there are nearly 100 private hostels and 100 rents in and around the hostel.
Interview Experience
The process of Group D here is simple, there is no much to stress on all these sessions when it comes to St Joseph College (Autonomous) Jakhama. The criteria here to take admissions are mostly based on the first come first and the last reservations are based on a merit system. It was good.
