Remarks

The college environment is very good and the teachers are friendly and always there to help, no ragging issue is there. Stationery shops are also there inside the campus and canteen is also very good at a good price. Network connectivity is the main issue also transportation is also a major issue. Admission process generally starts in the month of July around 1st July which generally goes till the end of August. The process generally requires documents like mark sheet and medical, call letter which we get through online registration and at last fee deposit.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I choosed a bachelor of pharmacy because I am interested in research and development and also in thinking of possibilities to cure someone and in pharmacy, I see that opportunity. The class is comprised of 90 students and one is mentors is allotted to every 10-12 students to which students can discuss anything. Almost all of the faculty members are ph.d holders some are even more qualified while some are pursuing PhD. The faculty use every possible way to make things understand like using a 3-D model or video or diagram. Exams are conducted semester wise that is two semesters in one year. The question paper is made in such a way so that teachers can evaluate each student carefully. It's not that much difficult to pass but its hard to score good marks.

Placement Experience

3.5

In there final year students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies like Zyla, Jublient, innovate, sun pharma, mankind and others visited the campus. The no. Of offers depend from company to company but on average offer was 10 students Requirement. The highest package offered was Rs.30,000 per month while the minimum was 15,000 per month. Work profile was like in R&D, production and marketing. Around 20-30% of students are placed. My plan is to opt for higher education.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hike depends on college but the hike is for those who take new admission for the ongoing students fees remain the same as on their admission time. The cost to study is around Rs.140000 per annum. The college supports the scholarship program conducted by the government. College also gives the option for payment of fees in parts. I didn't get any job with a stipend during my period.

Campus Life

5

The annual fest name is GU fest which is conducted in the month of February apart from that many small fests by different clubs are also organised. The library is full of every book and journal one need apart from that online access to different books are also there. The classroom is well equipped with the smartboard, projector, and air conditioners, lights. Many sports and extracurricular activities are conducted inside the campus time to time in order to refresh the students from studies environment. Many clubs like sports, drama, acting, pharmacy, dancing, singing and gcet club and many other clubs are run by students to built the leadership and management qualities.

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are average, not very high but some companies do visit every year. Students become eligible for placements from final year, mostly from 7th or 8th semester. Companies are not very big mostly local or mid level pharma companies come. Some roles offered are like production, quality control and marketing. Highest package is not very high, around 3-4 LPA and average package is around 2-2.5 LPA. Percentage of students getting placement is not very high, maybe around 40-50% approx. Many students prefer to go for higher studies or try off campus jobs. My plan after completing degree is to look for job in pharma field or maybe go for higher studies depending on opportunity. Overall placement is okay but needs improvement.

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is average, not very high but also not too bad. Students become eligible for campus placement from 7th semester. Some companies visit the college but not many big companies comes regularly. Companies like small pharma companies and local companies visit and offer roles like production, quality control and sales. The highest package is around 3–4 LPA and average package is about 2–2.5 LPA. Number of offers is also limited and not all students get placed. Around 30-40% students get placement from campus, rest students have to search job on their own or go for higher studies. College gives some support but not very strong placement help. Because of this, many students including me are planning for higher studies or preparing for competitive exams to get better opportunities. Overall placement is okay but need improvement.
